Moyes So Far!

Scholes passing hid a how disasterous it really is, so I'm going to go ahead and disagree.
Scholes started eight league games last season. Eight. He was a sub in another eight. He didn't feature in 22 out of our 38 league games.

And Carrick sat out six weeks and Giggs was a year younger and Scholes in those games was able to pass better than anyone else,

So, yes, our midfield is worse. Decidedly so.

Yes, our midfield is worse than last season but not because of Scholes! It's mostly because Carrick and Cleverley are both playing far worse than they did last season. Scholes was, frankly, a bit shit. He started two of our three league defeats in the first half of the season...

And back to my original point. We've never had a worse midfield. Look, I'm not defending Moyes. He needs to go. But to pretend like we're not a fcuking disaster in midfield is insane.

Moyes not addressing the issue in the Summer (and by not addressing I mean signing Fellaini) is part of his job.

Also when Scholes was out with blurred vision in 2006 was worse mate in the second half of the season we had O'Shea, Giggs, Fletcher, Smith rotating in CM.

If we loose vs Fulham I could see him get the sack...
I can't see it, the only way he'd get the sack is if our next shirt sponsorship deal value drops significantly.

We need something the Glazers will understand.

Watching the City/Chelsea match tonight was depressing. Moyes will never take us to that level, he simply doesn't have the ability too.

Which defeats the whole idea that you need a top midfield to finish in the top 4. I also don't think Liverpool or Everton's midfield is considerably better than ours, it's just they are much better as a unit.

You're a bunch of impatient half-wits. Give the manager time, he may prove to be a colossal failure and if so the club will regroup and carry on. I'd hazard a guess though he'll prove to be a success in the long run.

I would agree some of his decisions are baffling at times, but then so were quite a few of SAF's (replacing Stam with Blanc for example).

No man on Earth, not even Mourinho could have won 9 games in a row with Giggs and O'Shea as the midfield pair though. Only Ferguson could do that.

Our current midfield is better than that though.

It truly was. I just don't understand why we didn't go for Mourinho - the way he motivates his players was reason enough.
Fergie, charlton cocked up massively on this one.

Agree on both.

Also that year we finished 2nd with below 10 points to Mourinho's Chelsea. Not to mention that Fletcher was far from finished article and main culprit for most of the season. At that time we had only 1 competent midfield and for half a season and lost 5 games - as much as Chelsea.

Its the same people who complain that Moyes is a negative manager, Muriniho is more so
As much as I didn't want Moyes to begin with and want him gone now, I don't even agree with the stick he gets for being negative. People mistake playing shit with playing defensively. We don't create chances because the coaching is poor, the tactics and team selections are shit and he's neglected our more talented players in favour of Valencia and Young. He doesn't set them out to not score goals or win games, that would be retarded.

Mourinho's had a team score 121 league goals in a single campaign. If he's negative then we really do have problems.

He hasn't been enough of a failure already?

There was nothing wrong with what he said if you read it.
But United is about winning not just selling shirts, and Woodward is the Glazers main man. He was also in charge of last summers disastrous transfer activity alongside Moyes. We need to have a fantastic summer transfer window if we do not want to remain mid table or worse in the future. I do not trust Woodward, nor Moyes ability.

Tonight Mourinho put Matic, Ramires and Luiz - before the game everyone went on saying he'll park the bus.. Apart from the goal Chelsea hit the bar 3 times and missed couple of other opportunities.

Oh be quiet. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Top of the league? With Cleverly, Jones and Bad Carrick? Okay then..

If Mourinho was in charge, we wouldn't have lost to WBA, Newcastle, Everton or Spurs at home.

So yeah, we'd be thereabouts.

Both would walk into Liverpools midfield, they would also have a shout at Spurs and Everton, I am in no way a firm supporter of either but that's better nonsense than even myself can come up with.

Come on mate, we need another winger, but Coutinho and Sterling are both better players and players I'd rather see starting and I think Rodgers would feel the same way. Young and Valentino are on Downing's level - that's saying something.

This thread is going to get bumped anytime Chelsea get a good result and we get a bad one isn't it, the same pattern as the Pogba one.

Without a top class striker.

Eto'o is still decent.

He relly isn't. He dominated us but it was more like the times when a shit player dominates us (Adam, Pedersen or Yakubu). Except that hattrick against us, he has scored so far 2 goals in the other 17 games he has played.

Its the same people who complain that Moyes is a negative manager, Muriniho is more so
You're serious. Mourinho is negative at difficult games away from home (around 3-5 games a year). But Fergie was too (Barca 2008 home and away, Arsenal when they were good away etc).

His Chelsea has the record for goals scored and points in EPL, right? And Madrid has the joint record (100 points) for points in EPL. I hope you really don't believe what you said.

No that's Ancelotti's side. His Madrid hold the La Liga record though.

Ehhhh Henderson has been very impressive this season...To the point, where opinions on him here have turned.
Coutinho has been far more impressive then Valencia and Young
Sterling the same
Gerrard has been playing far better then any of our midfielders...Same as Lucas...And I think he's utter shit!!

Seriously lad, I'm really not seeing where you are coming from

This is spot on. The only United midfielders I'd take are Carrick and Januzaj.

Edit: Zaha and Mata too.

Did you see him at the end? The way he was chest pumping with the players, you can just tell that they love him, and buy into everything he says. He could probably tell them to go and jump off a cliff and they'd all listen.

This thread will stay near the top as it is because Moyes needs to be sacked as soon as possible.

As I said. People don't know the difference between playing shit and playing defensively. Mourinho would've wanted exactly what he saw tonight at Old Trafford and Arsenal, but the players didn't counter attack as well as he wanted them to.
