Moyes So Far!

That doesn't mean that we couldn't have or that we shouldn't even try. Same goes for the injuries. And stop saying Rooney missed a large chunk of the season, it's ridiculous. He played in 26 games already, one more than Agüero for example. He was out of a grand total of 5 of our league games.
In fact last season he started only 22 games in the league (and 5 subs). This year he seems to miss less games than last season. But hey, excuses won't ever stop.

Until we have a CM pairing of a high quality I don't want to consider the sacking of moyes. We are so fecking poor in this department and have been for a number of years and it is not Moyes who is to blame, partly yes as he has had two windows to address this but SAF must share some of it! If it is not sorted in the summer it will be difficult to defend Moyes but it will, I feel sure of that!!

Yes Fergies fault that Moyes spent £28m on Fellaini.

We had a CM on the bench yesterday. Yet Moyes uses Welbeck ahead of him. Why have him on the bench?

Even with two high quality CMs, Moyes will most likely persist with two defensive wingers.

What blame should SFA take? He won the league with the same midfield and was rather unfortunate to be beaten by Real in the CL.

What has Moyes achieved in comparison? Loosing 8 games already, 15 points behind the leaders after just 24 games, spending +60mil on Fellaini (paying more than he should have) & Mata and telling the whole world about the chances his team (with the likes of Rooney, RVP & Mata) created against Stoke?

Wake up and smell the roses pal. Its unthinkable to speculate just how many points we will be off the leaders at the end of this season.

Send Moyes back to Preston. Lets get Martines instead!!!!!

@Revan every video compilation I have watched of his BVB days has some seriously shit defensive displays for him to play against, perhaps the Bundesliga is strong but across it's whole it is not as strong as playing in this league for a top club.
Like you say Kagawa is the least of our worries when it comes to the managers decisions, Kagawa is probably one he's handled correctly IMO.

And as I mentioned those 5 were on top of missing Carrick and RVP

Carrick actually started 15 of our 24 league games so far and appeared as a sub in another one.

You people would make us believe he missed the entire season so far or something. We were shite with him in the team, too.

Hes missed 1/3rd of the season which is a lot of games

Carricks been average when he's played so far, still our best CM but average nonetheless :nervous:

RVP is always the big miss because he simply doesn't

Other teams have injuries as well. Ramsey appeared in 18 games for Arsenal, Wilshere in 19 (17 and 15 stars, respectively). Arsenal's most important central midfielders barely played more than Carrick and they're 15 points ahead of us. Özil played as much as Rooney. Always using injuries as an excuse is a bit pathetic.

Simply put, blaming it on injuries is foolish. The team has delivered before, albeit with motivation and luck. He needs to get us playing well, simple as. Ideally with some new style of play.

So they've both played more then Carrick and also how often have they both been missing? Comparing 2 players to one is pathetic.

Ozil may have only as often as Rooney but how many times did they play without him and Girout?

We are playing 4-4-2 on almost all the games. Rooney is playing more advanced than last season. Against Chelsea on the first half, Januzaj at times was more advanced than Welbeck.

Kagawa is one of the best players when it comes to doing pressure. Moyes doesn't use him. Isn't this a bit of contradiction?
We dont play 442 almost every game. Maybe you are watching another team by mistake?

Fergie did ignore the midfield for ages and Moyes hasn't been able to improve it much either. Even last season too many teams outplayed us in the centre.
Yes Moyes has struggled a lot and i'm not sure if he is cut out for the job, we'll find out in the Summer or by next Christmas.

The internet and United supporters has become a complete embarrassment.

The parody of our support being as bad as everyone else is completely true, and you lot pandered to the thought we were better than the rest.

Are we feck.

Moyes out after 7 fecking months? Jesus wept.

Our fans are as kneejerk as any other club's fans. Don't know why anyone would believe otherwise. Human nature is what it is.

Sections of City's support wanted Pellegrini gone after 4 games. Di Matteo was sacked months after winning the champions league. Mancini was sacked for finishing second. Ancelotti was sacked after winning the double.

But what's laughable is wanting a manger sacked for taking the champions to 8th even after spending 70 million.

Yup, awfully low post counts, account registered decade or so ago and were missing during good years. They do provide amusement though and modmins will be taking care of them if it goes out of control. So nothing much to worry.

You're insane. Seriously you sound like a Liverpool supporter right now.

People with registration dates from a decadish ago and low post counts? You and people like you are going to be one of the biggest reasons people like that (like me) avoid the matchday threads entirely. It's just a circle jerk of retardation by a large number of posters. In addition, when things are going well there isn't much to talk about is there. I mean, circlejerkreacharoundfests got boring for me in about 2007.

I know, I know, it's a grand conspiracy. Everyone panic. Someone who doesn't post much is suddenly taking a more active interest in posting. Ban him, but first string him up and burn him at the stake.

At least two out of Carrick, Rooney and RvP played in 15 out of 24 league games. At least one of them was available in all 24 league games this season. I repeat: it NEVER happened that all three were missing at the same time. Never.

This. If we were calling for Moyes' head after being 4th, then that would be incredibly embarrassing. But we are looking far inferior to the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham, and after 7 months Moyes doesn't seem to be making any improvements to our tactics to fix this. Some people need to get off their high horses and understand the frustration here.

Every game is either 442 or 4411

Don't forget the 4-2-3-1 we set out against Stoke, looked as so on the field of play.

----------------------RVP---------------------

--------------------Rooney--------------------

Young------------------------------------Mata

-----------Jones--------Carrick----------------

-------------------Defence---------------------

---------------------DDG----------------------

Well it looked like that until the substitutions of doom.

See he's at the Super Bowl tonight

I do not pretend to be an expert, but for me Moyes has looked tactically illiterate. The guy has no ideas. We just hoof it up front mostly to the wings then try cross it into the box, ffs??? If this guy is going to be the manager for the next 6 years, prepare for barren and depressing times.

I think that's the key part to all of this, despite the numerous mistakes there isn't any sign of improvement so what exactly do we have to look to when told to show faith in him?

Bar Spurs where we were pretty unlucky I think every loss we've had has been deserved and fair.

Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom? Hardly Bayern & Barca

Jones started in Defense, with Clevs in mid. But that is what we did.
Yea then we did exactly the same with Rooney in for Jones position and Wellbeck in for Rooney, I almost couldn't believe my own eyes.
Oh Moyesy lad :( I wonder if he got home that night and thought ..... Oh feck yea !!?!

I remember seeing the football forum, and someone saying " If you can't see why Welbeck was subbed on for Jones instead of Fletcher, then you are hopeless" (think it was sixpence).

Looks like I'm hopeless, anyone care to explain this genius move by Moyes?

I find it funny that we could lose 1-6 at home to Fulham next weekend, and Moyes still wouldn't get the sack.
