Moyes So Far!

All I want is for the fans to remain classy in the stadium and not start booing etc.

But I have no qualms with anyone who doesn't think Moyes is up to the task. Because I agree with that notion.

Agree, I hope he doesn't get booed. That would be quite cringeworthy.

He's not good enough for United but he will be here for at least another season, there's no doubt about that

Moyes is to Man Utd what Souness was to the Scousers: He'll be allowed two mediocre seasons to undo two decades of success and leave us with a lesser squad and lesser ambitions than when he arrived.

Do we really need ANOTHER feckING THREAD about Moyes where the same spastics can come and vent the same points over and over again?

Big question is who could follow him? There is no one I'm afraid at his moment in time

Hiddink would be my first choice. Long-term if Ole proves himself at Cardiff lets get him in, and if not lets wait til Pep's done at Bayern and throw money at him.

United fans have so far remained classy. If anything they have supported Moyes with better atmosphere. However, most of the fans in the arena have not witnessed such results and we'll only find out over the course of time how this transpires.

No, we should never boo the team, but I'm all for taking down the 'chosen one' banner and stop singing 'feel the Moyes', until he actually gets us playing some decent football at least. He needs to know that this current level of utter shit is unacceptable for current champions of England. He thinks we are playing well.....

Except Souness was an absolutely brilliant player and was a legend.

Do we really need another fecking post about what we are and aren't allowed, in your obviously exalted opinion, to discuss on this forum.

Ole is too far away. We need someone proven who won the lot. No more experiments for the time being. Pep is impossible to get away from Bayern right now I'm afraid. Maybe in 2 seasons time Klopp can be approached

Can't disagree with that. Also Souness didn't have your lot playing tumescent uninspiring crap. It wasn't Liverpool of the golden era but McManaman, Barnes, Rush and Fowler could still make magic happen on occasion.

Yeah that's why I said my first choice would be Hiddink. He's available, he's won the Champions league, he's managed at the highest level here and abroad, domestically and internationally. Its a no brainer really.

As hard as it is to see them sacking him, there is a tough run of games coming up after Fulham:

Arsenal (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Olympiakos (A)
West Brom (A)
Liverpool (H)
Olympiakos (H)
West Ham (A)
City (H)

No easy games there. Could be coming to a head soon.

Wishful thinking there MUN. I think that Moyes will not be sacked this season even if we finish 10th. I think that would be Fergie's way. Do you see the Glazer's taking Fergie on on this? They seem to be content that they can cope one season without the CL. I believe that he will get until Christmas at least.

Well, the way it's been presented is that Moyes went over to SAF's house and was told he was going to be his successor. I'm sure Moyes then had to present his ideas to the board but I'd be super interested to know what those ideas were.

I'm inclined to think the discussion and debate amongst the board was before Ferguson called Moyes over to his house. You know, I don't think Moyes pitched his plans to the board at all; I think most of that discussion was between Ferguson and Moyes after he'd been chosen.

It was at this point Ferguson really should have stopped playing Call of Duty: Ghosts and listened to what Moyes was actually saying...

You're either a wum, or severely retarded.

Compared to the team they inherited and the money the spend (which Hodgson didn't have any), Woy looks like Arrigo Sachi compared to Moyes.

Anyway, I think that people who think that Moyes will be forever here soon will get dissapointed. Personally I think that by next Christmas he will he sacked, and if not, then I seriously doubt that he will be here by summer 2015.

6 years contract means nothing if you're shit at your job. Glazers might accept a year ithout UCl (30-40m losses on revenue and much more on club's value) but I don't think that they will accept it for 2 years. In fact, he might be sacked this summer cause we are going to make a new deal for shirt sponsors and likely if we are seriously shit, Nike/Adidas and co won't offer as much money as if we are good. And with Moyes we are really awful.

There is already a thread about it and there are more than 10 names of possible succesors to Moyes.

Personally I would have preferred any of them even in the summer rther than Moyes. Hiring Moyes was asking for trouble from the first moment.

He's not getting sacked. Just last last week Fergie said we are in the title race. Why would a manager in title contention be fired?

He should, of course, be given the time to build his team. Next season, after a summer of transfers, is the one I will judge him from.

He's won 50% of league games so far... I think at Everton he had something like 55%, so he's not even reaching that standard at the moment.

He needs to feck right off. The feck are these forums becoming.

This thread isn't at all unreasonable though. If this was a rival club the thread would have gone up months ago, hell, he would have been long sacked by the rival club too. PTME's tone is unnecessary but most fans outside the match going hardcore would like to see Moyes sacked

If he loses to that sack of shit that is Fulham, I think I may well be firmly in the "Moyes out now" camp.

But we won't lose to Fulham, so that's alright.

This thread should be closed and the OP should be banned. Our modmins will show their almighty powers soon no doubt.

Really? It is a thread with an opinion. Perhaps it is agenda driven but hey, he has that right to post a thread. I don't agree with anything that he says and never will. However, calling for a mod or admin to ban a poster who has posted a legitimate thread in the right forum is just not on. Perhaps you should take a deep breath and calm down mate. He is on-topic whereas yours is off-topic. @Galactic

@annihilate Now

Surely the Fulham result is irrelevant at this point? Win or lose we are pretty much fecked. I have little doubt that we will win one of our easiest games of the season but we will continue to drop points against teams for the rest of the season and finish out of the top 4.

 Now it all makes sense. I was wondering since yesterday, "Oh, here comes another poster who was hiding during glory years but has suddenly woken up."

So, I am not the only one who has noticed an influx of posters who haven't posted in years making a sudden appearance in the matchday threads? I am guessing that they are not genuine Manchester United fans, but opposition fans who joined making it look as though they are. They will be found out soon enough.

Does anyone else think he is getting a really easy ride in the press? AVB got fecking hammered for poor results and you would would like to think United have a larger pull than Spurs in the press (no offence Spurs fans), so how does Moyes not get the same level of criticism? Aside from a few damming articles, they all seem to be letting him off Scott free, presently. I can't work it out, because he's turned the club into a laughing stock - everyone wants to play us at OT as they can get 3 points.

To be fair, three digit posters are usually in support of Moyes. But as you said, they might be fans of other clubs and like us to continue with him.

I think it's mostly because the press have been calling for British managers to get the top jobs in British football for so long, they don't want to go back on that. They're in a similar position to Fergie in that they will have to do a u-turn at some point.

Disappointing thread, i see no point discussing when he will be sacked while he has a 6 year contract. We should be proactive in discussing what he could do...

This would all be a lot easier to take if the majority of our fans weren't acting like whiney little bitches.

What exactly do you think people are whining about? Could it be 5 defeats in 8 this year? I'm not sure about this but usually the league champions don't play like a bunch of cnuts for 22 fecking league games. It wouldn't happen anywhere else and it shouldn't happen here. All this the United way guff needs to stop
