If we lose against Fulham at home next week he will be terminated, right? RIGHT?

No, he is here for the long run. Fergie seems to have made it clear enough that he will be given time.

Almost positive this is one of Baz's accounts.

To be honest, I expected this thread to be created a lot earlier than this.

Liverpool are out of the title chase. The top three aren't going to slip up at this point. Its between City and Chelsea imo.

Na, Arsenal will be in the fight for the 4th spot before long. Though Its looking very likely that it'l be City to win it comfortably, Chelsea to finish 2nd comfortably and Pool and Arsenal to fight it out for 3 and 4 comfortably ahead of the rest.

wrong, he's got a 6 year contract. They arent going to sack him anytime soon. Especially since they've just let him spend 60+ million in 6 months.
Get used to it

this is the second completely idiotic thread youve made in less than a day. do you just have a constant need to be heard?

Is it much of a statement though when the three points against Arsenal at home was followed by draws to Cardiff and Tottenham and losses to Everton and Newcastle. For every step forward it seems there are at least two back.

Yeah the Arsenal win had us perfectly poised not just to challenge for the top 4 but for the title and we imploded. If Liverpool beat West Brom today then we need them to drop >9 points to claim 4th whilst we would have to win every game. It's hard to see that as likely.

On paper the position in the league suggested so, but it just masked the fact that United were still playing the same tumescent, uninspiring football they have been playing all season. Welcome the win against Arsenal was, I think United were poor for large chunks of that game. Conceding that last minute equalizer away to Cardiff, psychological halted any momentum dead in its tracks and the home defeats to Everton and Newcastle compounded by injuries to Carrick,Rooney and Van Persie were results just waiting to happen. In the PL, apart from the first game of the season, United have looked like what they are, a mid table trying to qualify for the
remaining UEFA cup placings.

As hard as it is to see them sacking him, there is a tough run of games coming up after Fulham:

Arsenal (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Olympiakos (A)
West Brom (A)
Liverpool (H)
Olympiakos (H)
West Ham (A)
City (H)

No easy games there. Could be coming to a head soon.

Pimpy the magic elf is a Caf hero for his username alone, we should excuse him this breakdown. I mean moyes is shit so it at least has a basis in reality.

People would be more forgiving ifv they can see tge direction and footballing philosophy if the manager despite the results. With moyes, we can't see any of that. Dinosaur tactics, stupid substitutions and just someone who looks like he himself hasn't got a clue what he's doing.

The players clearly think this too. Just look at their body language: They dont believe Moyes can lead them and so they have lost faith in the direction of the club and their chances to win stuff.

Thank you for giving me a laugh on a Sunday morning when I am pissed off by another substandard performance, I can picture you hitting the keyboard for that opening comment :).

But you make a totally relevant comment which I have highlighted, It is the minimum that I expected this season , I really thought Moyes could be successful, maybe I was in a minority of United fans
who thought that , I just thought at the time of his appointment maybe he could be a perfect successor to Fergie , Hardline , no nonsense and the right man to replace the most successful manager
in United's history , Can he turn it around ? I honestly don't know ,I hope he can ,but the way the team plays at the moment I cannot see us getting in the top four.

There is just a total lack of leadership on the pitch , no drive, no determination, no one to take the game by the scruff of the neck , The drive and determination comes from within a player but the manager has a massive influence by motivating his players to succeed, we have a squad who have the ability to be in the top four without a shadow of a doubt , but ability doesn't get you anywhere without the want and desire to win and that's what our team is lacking.

I am changing my mind on whether he is the right man for the job ,it was his right as manager to bring his own backroom staff in ,I think he made a massive mistake, they are shit ! and United is too big a club to have a new manager and a bunch of clueless feckwits running everything else.

If the club had appointed Albert the kitman as the new manager and kept all the coaches I honestly believe we would be in a better position now and I am not kidding.

That's Moyes' real failing. I hate when people come out with nonsense like the squad isn't good enough. Look at how far we are off Liverpool? 6 points. Had we beaten West Brom at home as we should have and drawn against Everton (H), Newcastle (H) and Spurs (H) we would've been neck and neck with them going into yesterday. Are people really telling me our squad is so terrible we shouldn't expect to beat West Brom and avoid losing at home against Everton, the Barcodes and Spurs?

The squad may not be good enough to win the title (I disagree with that but...), it should however be able to keep pace with the top 4. The fact it isn't is because Moyes isn't getting the best out of his players, seems incapable of inspiring them, and has only one plan which is 'get to the byline' and pump it into the box as if we had Jan Koller at centre forward. :wenger:

The kind words are appreciated. Especially in dark times like these.

I should change his username to PMT. Pretty apt going by his posts over the last few days.

If this happens, the whole 1st team players will take a break and let the Reserve take over. It's not like we have anything to lose there.

Apparently Mourinho asked why the feck was Cryuff there. The balls on the man. ha.

I seriously dont mind SAF choosing his successor. It could have been handled better, yes, but letting him pick was a good decision too. The problem starts now. If we do understand and realize that Moyes wont cut it, we have to act fast and decisively. I understand he wants better players but if he cant get atleast somewhere close to good football and results with the current lot, I wouldnt want to trust him with big spending in the summer. Let the new manager with his ideas pick his players.

I don't actually think it was a simple case of Fergie picking Moyes. I believe there was consultation and debate. It has been reported Bobby Charlton does not like Mourinho and that essentially finished his chances. I think Fergie made his case for Moyes and he was persuasive enough. After all, he had made the Gimps mountains of cash, so how could he be wrong?

I still hope he isn't. Hope is all I have now...

I think it's perfectly reasonable to want the guy out of our club. Actually those ABUs who actively support a guy who is trying to destroy MUFC should be banned.

We need more threads like this one. Finally someone dares to come out and have a go at Moyes, the Lobotomized One. We also need more polls, there aren't enough polls. I'd like to see a poll with every match day thread: Will TLO be sacked if we lose (or otherwise fail to please) this one? It's the only way we'll make our cries of anguish heard.

There's no way he'll be let go before the end of the season. And to be fair I don't see the point in doing that unless we have identified a replacement and we can get him right away.

Yes let us oppose free speech! Your argument makes sense if something is off topic, unfortunately this isn't.

Seemed a reasonable enough question to me. He can't be too far off the sack, even with Fergie's supposed backing.

I dont see how Moyes could have been picked ahead of managers like Mourinho, Pep, etc if there was a discussion. The talk was always about Sir Alex picking his successor and he did. Remember Gill saying CL experience would be a big factor? Moyes has none.

 Now it all makes sense. I was wondering since yesterday, "Oh, here comes another poster who was hiding during glory years but has suddenly woken up."
