Apparently, Moyes has said that he will lead United to glory in Europe next year, even if he has to write the song himself. That's positive.

We won the league in 10/11.A question to everyone: is 4th really that different from 2nd? If we end the season without winning a trophy, but secure CL football, will it be at all different from the 10/11 season were we won sweet FA but came second and only lost on GD? I mean winning is winning at the end of the day.
Apparently he's going to the Glabach v Bayern match tonight.
To be fair, the whole "Manchester United Empire Is Crumbling" story was always going to be enormously interesting to the media and everyone interested in football, including United fans. It is naive to think it would be reported any other way. Comparing it to the Liverpool situation is a complete red herring, if we were talking about Liverpool in the early 90s it would be a fair comparison but today? We could get exactly the same results every week and the reporting on the two teams would be completely different and rightly so, we have completely different expectations, Liverpool being shit is hardly news after all. If, heaven forbid, we spend the next two decades being shit on a stick like Liverpool the tone of the coverage of our games will of course change.I hate articles like that. It's 20:20 hindsight vision at its best. If the media keep picking at everything United do and do not do, the unravelling will happen quicker. If the media had given Moyes a lower base from which to start and spun things in a more positive light, I have no doubt that the internal workings at OT would be better.
Compare that to the positive view on EVERYTHING that Liverpool have done this season since Day1. Liverpool win? Great. Liverpool lose? Performance was good. Liverpool lose 8-0? Well, it wasn't 9-0. Liverpool squad caught raping babies? Good teambuilding exercises by Rodgers. It's ridiculous.
Herrmann more likely. A decent winger, nothing special though. Maybe Dante as well though.schweinsteiger maybe?
Don't think it had much to do with Moyes.
Have you got that from reading the Mata thread? Mourinho is the first manager in history to both sell and buy the same player simultaneously, there's no end to his talents.Don't think this signing had much to do with Moyes.

One thing I'll say about Moyes, he's given the entire 'no value in the market' spiel the two fingers. Good lad.

We've added Januzaj, Fellaini and Mata to a title winning squad. Time to deliver.
I would say, once Fellaini is injury free and fit then, yes! But with a fully fit squad, I think we will be a special team. Not to play devil's advocate, but now that Moyes has spent £64.5m on two our of our most expensive signings ever, is it now reasonable to say we should be expecting him to get this team playing better and showing us a style of football soon? Or is it still fair to use the 'this is Fergie's squad' line if we don't?

A bit early to be saying that but what the hell, nothing wrong with allowing yourself to bask in the excitement.Brilliant signing from Moyes. COuld be one of our best ever signings tbf.
To all those hating him today and wanking over Mourinho without giving Moyes any credit you should be ashamed of yourself. fecking shower of disgraces to call yourselves supporters of this club.
Agreed, if he fails to get top four with Mata, van Persie and Rooney all fit then he is a poor manager. If he can't get a team with the likes of RvP, Rooney, Mata, Januzaj and Kagawa playing well then he needs to leave. Fantastic boost for him signing Mata. I hope he knows what he's doing.
I really do suggest that people saying Moyes was the wrong appointment just sit back and watch for the next year or so. With Rooney, Van Persie, and Mata coming in very soon, I am convinced we will fire back up to 4th. For me with this season of transition 4th is acceptable. I didn't for one minute think that United would win the league this season.
We have a world class squad and the manager is building foundations, building for the future, and this assumption that Manchester United cannot buy world class players with Moyes at the helm has just been abliterated by record signing Mata arriving today. More will come in the summer, and Moyes will finally have more of his own team. Fellaini will no doubt share a ball winning midfielder position with Fletcher, rather than be expected to be the big midfield signing for United. Pressure on Fellaini to deliver will drop now he isn't Moyes' latest signing.
Just give Moyes time! Man United fans are gaining so much respect this season by applauding Moyes and the players off the pitch when they win/lose or draw.
Tbf saying 'yes lets sign Mata' is hardly a great insight into his transfer accumen. One of the most obvious signings ever.
I'm more impressed with the club not waffling about for once and making a serious bid right off the bat.

Not necessarily, not from where we are currently standing. The most important thing is he gets us playing well, with confidence and racking up wins. Maybe Liverpool keep winning as well and we miss out on top 4 but as long as we do our job then Moyes should get credit for that.Agreed, if he fails to get top four with Mata, van Persie and Rooney all fit then he is a poor manager.

Yeah true, I'd still expect us to make up the six points with the players at Moyes' disposal. Not necessarily, not from where we are currently standing. Agree, Mourin.. sorry, Moyes did a great job getting Mata and I'm really happy with how Mouri... feck ... MOYES has gone about our signings this month. All hail Jos.. David!Brilliant signing from Moyes. COuld be one of our best ever signings tbf.

There's over ten games left in the season. Rooney's due back next week and if reports are to believed van Persie is extremely close to returning soon after. Just my opinion.Fit for how long? 10 games?
