Moyes So Far!

Moyes was making excuses from day one, questioning the order of fixtures, and he has continually blamed referees and injuries and difficult transfer windows. Joking answers all the time and acting like there is no pressure and everything is going fine. I wish he would change his tune a little bit and not point the fingers elsewhere.

You fear he could be losing the dressing room, hence the positive spin he's putting on things - it's like he's trying his best to keep the players onside. I have a bad feeling that the likes or RVP aren't happy at the appointment and while they're probably acting professionally, privately there might be discussions as to how disappointed they are with how things are going. Could be complete paranoia on my part but there you go.

I think he already knows his players are depressed and low on confidence and is trying not to add to it.

You're right! Let's fire him! He can feck off. We'll fire our manager mid way through the season and replace him! With...

Go on?

Phelan? Laudrup? Ole? Hiddink if he's available? Quieroz? Throw money at Klopp FFS. Hell I'd take Brian Kidd over Moyes in a heartbeat.

We're not getting a proper manager in. If we sack Moyes now we'll be stuck with Steve "fecking" Round or something equally ridiculous. Kidd? Really? You've got no idea, have you?

The irony in that statement is clearly lost on you

Serious question. Can you imagine a club like Bayern Munich sticking with a loser of such epic proportions for an entire season?

 The idea of Steve Round taking the job 'til the end of the season.

Kidd can't be worse than Moyes.

It's looking likely that we are going to miss out on a top four spot. So hopefully he'll look to recall Powell, Lingard and start integrating them (along with the Keane bros) into the first team. Giving our promising youth a chance will surely be a positive in an otherwise shite season.

Short Round needs to sod off. Phelan should have been his assistant to help with the transition. FFS fire the entire staff and show up with a human wall for goalkeeping coach, Short Round, the former Captains little brother and some guy named Lumsden...

I'm fuming.

If Moyes leave then SAF will take over. We wont rely on Round that's for sure. However Moyes is there to stay.

I agree with Garethw though. We should bring Powell and Lingard back. They may lack experience but at least they are hungry for success

The only defence for Moyes currently is that this is in no way "his" team. The problem appears to be that given that he cannot swap 11 in for the existing 11, he's not doing much of a job of making the current incumbents "his" team.

It's all very well romantically engrossing yourself in the identity, history and values of United but this is 2014 and football is completely different now to the post Busby era. Its big business now, mega bucks, and no way will the Glazers let the share price drop much more. The days of paternal owners and gentlemanly behavior are over.

Moyes is going to have to work with most of that squad for the medium to long term. Its not as if we are City or Chelsea. Obviously he can bring in a few players but he has to get more out of whats avaliable.

I seriously think we need to be patient about all this. Things change extremely quickly in football. Looking at Liverpool is an example of that. Rodgers needed time, was given it, and is starting to turn them from a mid table side to a challenging side. It's small things, and when they come together things change quickly.

We need to give Moyes the same thing. We have a much better basis, and much stronger team. When it comes together we'll hopefully have something strong to build on for years.

He is out of his depth, plain and simple, he hasn't got the foggiest idea, the club and jobs to big for him, I've loved this club since big Ron had it, I've seen the ups and the downs, and it's too much for him, it was always going to be hard replacing of himself. But my thoughts are it's far to big of a job for David moyes, but then again, if not him who? Peps unavailable and there's no one, so give him a season, see how much he fecks it up, and the deal with it. But my very honest and frank opinion he's not good enough

Rodgers changed their style of play.

Moyes has done nothing of the sort.
