Moyes So Far!

Could you imagine Rio saying stuff like he has about the manager if Fergie was still in charge?

He might very well be on the verge of losing it already.

Well then Rio or whoever else needs to get their shit together and start supporting the manager. Things were always going to change after Ferguson and as professionals the players should have expected and been prepared for that.

This whole disaster isn't just Moyes' fault, he's being let down by a lot of the players. In the match day thread everyone was saying what a great team selection it was and how Moyes had got it right, then the players go out and perform like that.

So sack Moyes tomorrow and salvage fourth. Is there anyone out there we can get to come in and make sure we do that?

If not, then there's no use.
There's managers who would increase our chances of finishing top 4.

Or look at it this way. There's no chance we'll finish top 4 under Moyes. We have nothing to lose by taking a punt on someone else, whether we know they'll get us top 4 or not.

People thinking that lots of shiny new signings in the January window is going to fix everything, are deluded. Those players are not the problem.

You don't think our midfield combinations without Carrick are a problem? Okay then .........

I can't believe we got Moyes
He's shit you know!!

It gets me when people are saying players and not manager is to blame. At no point during the last 5 years did they look this inept, it's no coincidence. This is the same team that won the fecking league last season, Moyes performance as a manager so far has been possibly the worst we've seen from anyone in Premier League all things considered.

He seems to have lost the dressing room, I don't know where you can go from there. I like him and wish he could still succeed here but I fear he's already on his last legs.

Thr thing that worries me is that we dont have any clear game plan. We only try to whip a cross in. Moyes'game plan is so out of date its just unreal. Archaic footbal.

Fitness levels.... we were supposed to be super fit under his regime....feck knows why its completely opposite.

Mentality....we look weak in this regard too.

Moyes and Woodie had entire summer to strenghten this team. Instead they decided to chase unicorns and settle for.one mule.

You say how different it looks but it's always been this bad without Carrick and let's not forget we had to bring back Scholes last year!

Not really heard anything about training methods but Everton last season looked fluid so it worked for them. I don't understand all the comments saying hes negative as apart from the insistence of using Welbeck I don't see any differences in style, only performance.
Its never been this bad without Carrick but this season we've also been bad WITH Carrick.

I don't pretend to say I've ever watched enough of Everton to gather evidence of Moyes style of play but a friend of mine who has informs me that Everton this season, without Moyes, looks better than anything Moyes ever achieved with them and that included a top 4 finish. For me hes not a top manager and definitely not a Manchester United manager.

I think he has to do some top business in January. Even if he's got to play extra or take on a cup tied player we just need one proper midfielder. Get that and I think the team changes completely and we can look to have a strong second half of the season. I don't think we can win the title but with a consistent run we should be ok for the CL. Like I've said the problems are all stemming from the same place, lack of tempo, lack of penetration, control etc all coming from the middle. I really don't think there are huge problems, and we've seen how one player can make all the difference.

If Moyes was managing Chelsea, City or possibly even Liverpool, he'd be gone tonight. We'll stick with him for the season at least.

He's fecking smiling and joking again in the post match interview! What is going on?!

If it were my team, and I don't doubt the Glazers are not tolerant of being pushovers, but if the topic of sacking Moyes came up and SAF felt his voice was bigger than mine as the team owner, I would certainly have to remind him who in fact does make the final decision for the club. No disrespect to SAF, but if the owner desires a change it will happen. SAF can resign if he disagrees. Unfortunately, sometimes drastic times call for drastic measures.

I personally would ride out this season and then reassess in May/June. For the good of the club, SAF's opinion on Moyes would and should be irrelevant.

Seems to me Glazers have always preferred to leave the footballing matters to people who know about football. In this case it would be Sir Bobby and Sir Alex. There's no way in hell Moyes is going to be sacked anytime soon. So we might as well carry on and support him

I can't blame the players if they start wondering what it really is he's trying to do.

All the soundbites up until now has been positive. But if we keep regressing and keep losing while slowly transforming into a poorer Everton when it comes to playing style...

So sack Moyes tomorrow and salvage fourth. Is there anyone out there we can get to come in and make sure we do that?

I'm sure there are lots of managers who can get us to 4th. It's not a hugely difficult task given the quality of personnel. However, Moyes has left us with a lot to to. 8 points off 4th is nuts.

I think when mentally the players give up or don't fight as intensely as they can, their fitness levels will look terrible, they'll be half arsed. Just a hypothesis.

Midfield is shite but the squad isn't this bad, no fecking way. The effort against Arsenal isn't matching up to the effort I've seen today, it's looking more and more like players are playing more for their ego than anything else.

Or maybe they've just lost faith in the manager. Which will likely be the deathblow for moyes. I really hope he is given time even if we don't make the cl.

That's what scares me.

God his interviews are the same week after week... "We need a bit of luck, fans are great, it was always going to be a tough time"

Thr thing that worries me is that we dont have any clear game plan. We only try to whip a cross in. Moyes'game plan is so out of date its just unreal. Archaic footbal.
Why do you think he's so desperate for Baines? He has one game plan, found a way to make it work at Everton by having a good crosser of the ball in the team, and doesn't have the pragmatism to try anything other than recreate that here.

The good news is Moyes has a meticulous and careful approach when it comes to signing players. We've all heard about his extensive scout reports and thorough knowledge of players around the continent. Oh wait Thiago was not 'prem proven' and he spent £27 million on Fellaini. He's clueless in all departments in managing a top club.

Talking as if we were unlucky again 'If a few things had gone our way' feck off it was a horrible performance and Newcastle deserved the 3 points.

The interviews really don't help his case.

We need honesty, not dismissive comments about transition and bad luck.

He's fecking smiling and joking again in the post match interview! What is going on?!

Oh come on mate, inside no one will be hurting more than him. He is in the spotlight from the word off, and the pressure to succeed at United is immense, if you think that he isn't arsed about our performances on the pitch, then you are wrong.

Or maybe they've just lost faith in the manager. Which will likely be the deathblow for moyes. I really hope he is given time even if we don't make the cl.

That's what I mean, they are putting their ego's ahead of the team. Against Arsenal they probably felt the need to prove a point but recently they've played like they couldn't care less about Moyes or anyone else.

True, but the Glazers don't know shit about this sport. They're businessmen and NFL guys where as I and others do know more about this sport. But they will also see just how much of a mess this massive turnover (upper management, coaching staff) has caused and the muck-ups in the transfer window and may not be too pleased. Business elites like the Glazers don't put up with ineptness.

I certainly don't want to see the club getting into the constant changing of coaches though.

Hang in there lads. He did manage 17th in his first year at Everton, so maybe we are in for a shit year followed by a gradual yearly improvement. Before you know it, we'll be challenging for a place in Europe.

I think the big questions are:
A. Can he get us into the top 4 by the end of the season?
B. Does he have the potential to be a top top manager?

I was never sure about B but it's hard to see A happening too under Moyes. If he fails on both counts he has to go.

feck interviews.

Let's not anyone tell you this is a weak squad.

De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Evans, Carrick, Fellaini, Nani, Januzaj, Young, Zaha, Giggs, Cleverley, Anderson, Kagawa, Rooney, Hernandez, RVP....

....it's a complete myth this idea that we're in transition. Yes we may need one or two players but that's the case for almost every football club on the planet. We'll never not need one or two players. But that shouldn't be the difference between challenging for honours and being nowhere in the table.
