Surely the club had something in the contract that says if we don't get Champions League, or don't meet some other standards, then things can be looked at. If they didn't, then Ed and friends are even more stupid than I thought previously.
Doubt it - by the looks of it they give him the fecking deed to Old Trafford and he has converted it to a toilet.

The Moyes bashing is good. I mean it's not like he dropped Rooney into CM in an attempt to get a grip of the game when we were being over-ran and hustled off the ball or inserted Kagawa and put Welbeck on to give him a willing runner to pick out...
The truth of the matter is there were, bar De Gea, Vidic and maybe Kagawa, a team of players on that pitch who were shit today. I am unsure of how many passes RVP and Rooney exchanged, nor can I ever remember a game where Carrick has looked so out of his depth.

It's not so long ago that we played Madrid with a near identical team and system...

Is this serious?

Even the most patient supporter can't be blamed for feeling absolutely frustrated and angry with him now. He has done absolute feck all for the club to justify sticking with him. The results are going from bad to worse, the players seem to have given up on him and his tactics/teams are honestly indefensible.

The board really should have a long think about this now. Is this really the man who is going to inspire a complete turn-around next season? I doubt it.

Carrick refusing to say the players had let themselves down.

Now maybe I'm saying 1+1=3 but his reply really looked like he wants to absolve the players of blame and say a lot more.

It looked like that to me as well.

But if it's true he needs to give himself a slap because the players were of course partially responsible for that shower of shite. As the manager the buck stops with Moyes and he'll of course see the majority of the blame here - but that performance was not got enough by the players, including Carrick. They did let themselves down.

Wow!

the guy got it wrong from the start this was pathetic.. hes so far over his head it isn't funny anymore

This is in the hands of the match going fans now. If they turn on him, I think he'll quit. If they keep supporting him, he could feasibly stay until we are in the championship. I don't see the board sacking him. They'll stick with the "Patience is our mantra" nonsense. Even if it means being lost to the footballing wilderness for the next few years.

Totally out of his depth. Needs to be driven out of the club as quickly as possible.

I'd bash him if there was something to bash him for? Are people infuriated by Shinji only getting 30 mins? Is it the fact we chose wingers when Mata was absent? Should Fellainoplayformonths have come in for Cleverley? I'm not sure why it is, but 11 players were sent out there today, the same 11 who had City 3-2 and they flopped against mediocre opponents.

Well the players are to blame as well so that what a stupid thing to say. And Carrick was one of the most culpable. He was terrible.

Nothing against him for "trying" but he's out of his depth. I don't hate him or dislike him because I don't know him but he isn't the manager of Manchester United...he's trying to be but he'll never succeed at the top level.

As much of a twunt as I feel about it I want to wake up to the news of his departure soon.

Fergies last big call has been hugely disappointing. Admit defeat and put the man out of his misery.

No interview? Meh, matches his cowardly on field tactics.

Certain criticisms of Moyes are over the top but, yeah, I think we've seen enough now. He should go.

Carrick did not sound convincing in defence of Moyes. Makes you wonder what the vibe was in the dressing room he had just walked out of.

Yep. The only way to go forward is to sell all of them.

I'm not on the 'Moyes Out' side of things, but I really am having a difficult time trying to figure him out. I just do not know what he wants from his players, nor do I understand his reasoning in team selections. I'm at a loss. Sometimes when managers make a rather 'unique' decision of not playing a certain player or lining up in a certain formation we can understand why, but with Moyes I just can't! In fairness, I never really paid attention to him at Everton, but still its been well over half a season and I have yet to understand his reasoning about many things associated with Manchester United

The players do need to take a lot of blame as well for being quite frankly unprofessional.

The performances put in from Van Persie and Rooney tonight were bordering on the mickey taking.
These players have contributed more to United's success than Moyes ever will.

8 months of bad coaching, motivating, tactics and instructions is enough to destroy any player. It's why there's quite a big emphasis on the importance of managers in football, it's their job to get the best out their players.

Those of you seriously thinking he would resign, just stop it already. There is ZERO chance of that happening, its just wishful thinking.

He's 100% correct, and a hero for saying it. I hope he and the players will rise and oust Moyes, charlatan and impostor.
