Getting soft treatment from ITV. "Moyes will be disappointed."

Left me gobsmacked that!!

Why haven't any of the media criticised Moyes yet?? If this was AVB, they'd have got the guillotine out!!

From the owners' perspective, would it be better to pay him whatever compensation or keep him and ruin what our club has been over the last 10-20 years?

The compensation is a drop in the ocean compared to what we'll lose from champions league revenue.

He needs to go now before the damage he's causing is permanent. What's the point of being able to say 'we're better than the rest of you, we back our manager' when we are anchored in mid-table? let's be honest here, the man is a clown. I honestly believe that Sam Allardyce would have done a better job and that's saying something.

I have been one of those fans giving him time, mainly on the basis we still had CL football to look forward to. To play like that in europe is embarrassing.

He fielded a team fit for a draw and no more. Started young, cleverley and valencia who are in bad form all season. Young done ok, but still mere aversge. It made no sense to change it that much after doing ok against Palace.

It really isnt good enough. You cant blame luck on this, he isnt delivering. The CL, away from our shitty league campaign, it should have lifted us. He failed to capitalise on it.

Just cut our loses now please.

We could. We were just unlucky with the draw.
And the referee was disgraceful. If he had awarded us that corner in the 86th minute we would have surely won 8-2. If Evans wouldn't have been injured it would have easily been 8-0.

Why doesn't he EVER learn or change the things that we can CLEARLY see don't work?

How many more times is he going to repeat the same mistakes?

It's an absolute indictment on his aptitude for the position.

He is ruining us.

In one season, he has destroyed practically everything we stand for.

It looks worse for us to stick by him than to sack him by now.

He just doesnt have the players respect..or the majority of them at least

I saw players that weren't busting a gut tonight. And that is unacceptable. Moyes needs to go but so do many of this squad. Too many wasters in here now.

Go and support Chelsea or City you glory hunting hipster.
Jesus it's fans like you that do my head in. The teams doing badly showing no signs of anything but we just have to support them and never question it.

Moyes has to go now. He's made the worst team in this seasons champions league look like bayern. The sad thing is I'm not even that mad, I'm a little relied (just like losing vs Sunderland), can you imagine what would happen if we met bayern or real?

He should resign. In half a season he's damaged the image of Manchester United worldwide in a way that I couldn't imagine. A new manager will give the players, who haven't got respect for themselves and lack belief under Moyes. I'm really concerned about the future.

It's looks to me like he lost the squad as well. The players basically gave up after we went 2-0 down. They lost confidence that they can do better under this system.

Im not even joking here. Im serious.

Is there a manager ever at a top level club who has been worse in the history of modern football, in terms of negative change from one season to the next and the potential impact of the failures? If there is then I would like to know, so I can read up and get some perspective, but I doubt it.

No. Benitez at Inter is the second worst one but the distance between them is big as distance between Bebe's and Beckham crosses.

The worst thing is I think our board have already accepted the frame that he's absolved of any blame as the problem is with the squad, it's not good enough and more importantly it's not "Moyes' squad" so judging him on this season isn't fair. Which is complete bollocks of course, but I genuinely believe whatever happens from now til the end of the season, he's got the summer to restructure the squad in his image.

He's barely done one thing right since he got here, why we'd entrust with the biggest rebuilding job the club's been through in many years is anyone's guess.

What's awful to see is people turning on world class players. RVP has 14 goals in 20 appearances this season, and people are blaming him for 'not being arsed' to defend Moyes. It's so tragic.

I've been one to say at least give him til the end of the season but now the CL is gone as well, I'd at least put someone in charge the players might like, we're never going to turn round a 2-0 deficit in this downward spiral we're currently in, anything to stop the flow of that til the end of the season can't be a bad idea.

I'd be interested to see a poll, I know my vote has changed since the last one.

I don't consider myself a fickle football fan, but the excuses have run out and there really is no positives left.

Left me gobsmacked that!!

Why haven't any of the media criticised Moyes yet?? If this was AVB, they'd have got the guillotine out!!

Because they don't want him out.

We might get someone competent in and that's the last thing they want.

Why doesn't he EVER learn or change the things that we can CLEARLY see don't work?

It's beyond belief. We have accepted he isn't a genius, but is it too much to just expect a manager of United to make the most basic of decisions. i.e. Valencia and Young are both utter dogshite and have no place near the starting lineup. How much are we paying this guy? He cannot see the fecking stark ravingly obvious.

Rome wasn't build in a day. We need to show patience.

I can't wait for his interview.

Tonight was about showing how the league form has been down to negative momentum and bad luck. Moyes and the team have failed to show us this.

The players are far from being free of blame, but ultimately they're not playing for this manager. I feel bad for Moyes but I feel worse about that performance. We were never realistically going to win the Champions League this season but we needed to see some hope. The situation is now hopeless.

Will he be allowed to see us out of the Champions League in the second leg or will we do something as we are not yet out and get someone else in. I know what I'll do.
Lets do a Chelsea. They kicked AVB after losing away to Napoli and went on to win it.

It's becoming that the only argument against the title proposition is that Moyes still has the only set of keys to the drinks cabinet at the training ground in his pocket.

It's looks to me like he lost the squad as well. The players basically gave up after we went 2-0 down. They lost confidence that they can do better under this system.
I think that's the key point. He doesn't have the backing/support from the players. Either his negativity rubs off on the players, or he just doesn't have the authority to "hairdryer" players as he should.

So who will come in a rescue us in the middle of the season.. Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp or Phil Neville?

Our squad is in a desperate state but we should have done better than we have. Much better.

It's insane to think this clown has come in and sacked all the coaching staff to replace them with his guys, who have never worked with any top talents.

When are the media going to give him a harder time? Especially since he's such a dick to them.

They made it much harder for the likes of AVB, and easier for Chelsea to get rid of him.

Standard of punditry has delved to knew lows tonight; even by ITV's standards.

"We can't blame Moyes"

ITV really want him to stay.

He can't drag us down anymore. This is humiliation tonight. I can't believe how far we have fallen, and this is meant to be us challenging for the only trophy we can, yet we are getting destroyed by the worst team in the tournament.

Completely agree. Moyes is totally inept and he has turned us into a laughing stock. Absolute disgrace.
