Moussa Sissoko

You can't say he doesn't have work rate.
My brother lives in Newcastle and supports them, I also watched most of their matches. I sure as feck can say he doesn't have work rate because it is non-existent. He is an absolute disgrace of a professional. Not to mention the fact he is never played in midfield because of his god awful work rate.

For those of you that are familiar with TrueGeordie here you go, somebody asked him about sissoko's performance....

"He's playing for a move, once he gets it he will go back to being the lazy little shit head we all know and detest."

Which if you watched Newcastle you will realise he's right. Any NUFC will say the same too

TBF its hard to motivate yourself to play for Newcastle.Be a great squad option for aanyone.

I don't care about the season he had at NC, maybe lack of motivation or he hated the manager or somethong else, but the player i've been watching in this tournament and especially this match would be a good addition to our right flank. He is fast, strong and can dribble.

Thankfully most managers don't buy players off of a couple of games at an international tournament. Rojo was bad enough, we don't need another.

Last season? He's been in our league for 3-4 years now, doesn't the fact you never took notice of him prior tell you something?
The guy is a wanker. Do not want.

Some team will buy him based on this tournamet. Then he will go down as yet another awful signing based on international football.

If he is available for 20-25M then it's a good purchase, he clearly has better quality than Valencia and we don't have any other RW in the squade.
This purchase would make more sense to me than 120m for Pogba, especially the Pogba of this tournament.

Preferring sissoko over pogba based on one tournament lolololol I've read it all now

Ask a Newcastle fan what they think of this

Yes

I'm not very familiar with NUFC but Newcastle doesn't seem to be a great club to take the most of players.

- Coaching: Alan Pardew used to be the coach in the last years: not an elite coach imho.
- Recruitment policy: unclear & unconsistent. A lot of moves. A lot of overpaid acquisitions. So many average French players not ready to perform in the EPL: Cabella, Thauvin. Obertan doesn't make sense. Another striker coming from Bordeaux the same.

Consequently, their team is not homogeneous & well-performing despite a good budget. I have the feeling NUFC used to choose their games: playing correctly against top teams and under-performing against weak teams.

In such a context, Sissoko is inclined to be natural and so lazy. He probably needs a stimulating environment & PRESSURE.

Sissoko is a relax & nice guy: no significant self-pressure.

Don't make your mind up based on this single performance, he does not play like this normally. Maybe one game in 20 he puts in a performance, the rest he just goes totally missing. Yes, he has the underlying technical and physical ability, but you rarely see it.

One game actually, it's not like Sissoko has played this well consistently in the tournament / qualifiers :wenger:

I never said we should get Sissoko over Pogba, they are 2 different players, I don't know how you got tgat from what I said. All I'm saying is paying 25M for Sissoko who is having a very good tournament in an area where we are have major lack of quality makes more sense than paying 120M for Pogba who in my opinion is not worth even half of that amount.
That's my opinion and everyone is obligated to grow up and accept that people doesn't necessary share the same one.

Again, the end product is just not there. He can have freak drives and skinning fullbacks but he rarely ever scores or assists. Bit like a massive, more physical Ashley Young.

'I never said we should get Sissoko over Pogba'

'Sissoko makes more sense to me than Pogba'

Literally in the same post.

25 mil on Sissoko who is having 0 end product? A few good dribbles, a few good shots, lots of running but no real quality. He is playing above his level few games and you would have him? I wouldn't swap Valencia with him.

We're going to fecking buy him now aren't we? :(:(:(
You bet! :D
He's a good engine, can run all day long; so he's a perfect fit for Klopp's pressing game. The only problem though he'd turn up when he feels so especially the 2 games against Chelsea are a must.

I know he was France's MOTM tonight but does nobody else think he makes controlling a football look so incredibly difficult? Matuidi as well. Bags of energy but not much else.

Think he's one of those players who needs a lot of motivation from the sounds of things.

Can't see him being at Newcastle next year.

Could blatantly see Liverpool dropping £30m on him for 5 good performances a season.

If he was a Southampton player he'd already be at Melwood.
We have been linked as it happens but I heard it was only £12 million being quoted. Newcastle will most likely demand more now.

I think that is a bit overstated

Is he a fecking Pirlo, hell no, do you need 11 pirlo's in your team, hell no

I think he is a capable footballer, with an amazing engine, work rate, physical strenght and blistering pace. I have always been impressed with him whenever I have seen him play, be it for France or for NU against us. I remember also being impressed by him 2 years ago in the WC, so his display to me tonight really isn't a big surprise and me wanting him is not based on todays game alone, I have wanted him since January and honestly now seems to be the best time to get him.

People think about he played this season for NU and they think he is worthless. Truth is, this is a french international star player that due to mismanagement at NU has been forced to play for relegation this year, that is not very motivating for such a player. These guys want to play for trophies, they want to win stuff, not try to avoid defeat, that is why the NU sissoko and the one you saw for the french team are so completley different. The manager and the players he is surounded with have a huge impact on a player. You only need to watch at Schneiderlin, not long ago he was one of the best midfielders in the EPL, also a regular in the french team and one season under a clown like LVG destroyed him and turned him into a potato sack.

You could if you watch a bunch of Newcastle games, he trundles about doing nothing a lot, has the odd blinder of a game once every few months though,
I think he'd make a FANTASTIC signing... for Liverpool.
Agree. We clearly see that people don't watch much games. Just jumped on few popular games and talking about the player's one game.

Saw someone already call for Eder signing. No surprise really. sarcasm IKR

Don't let one 45 minute anomaly fool you. He doesn't.

You cannot be serious  Have you watched Newcastle, he's a mercenary, a shit one at that.

Guess that's my first kneejerk reaction. :wenger:
Got to mean I'm fitting in now, right?

Arsenal have always been interested apparently

Certainly don't want him here
No we haven't.

He links himself to us every chance he gets, we could have signed him years ago if we wanted, he'll thankfully never be an Arsenal player.

Would be happy if Liverpool signed him, but don't think Klopp is that daft. He's rubbish for 90% of the season.

If Liverpool actually sign him I'll piss myself laughing. He might show up for maybe a month or two and then go back to the lazy shithead we remember from Newcastle until he decides to play for a contract/transfer.

Imagine if Liverpool actually sign him. We get Mkhy they get Mane and Sissoko:lol:
