He is a despicable, shit on stick, bus parking, eye gouging, youth ignoring anti-football man.

I can't believe you lot could support a club with him in charge.

In one moment i tho its a quote of some United fan here from years ago.

Some great pieces today in the papers. That piece by Syed is a real eye opener. Very worried by this appointment.

Saw on the BBC that 53% of people think that he will flop. With a potential ban hanging over him for the Eva situation he's got to hit the ground running for it not to go pear shaped already. It's already stinging getting all the texts from Scouse or City fans, "What have you done to your club?" just gotta ignore them all for now...

How many of those who voted, are United fans? :) I wouldn't worry.

He's not going to get banned for that.. it's a civil suit. Worst case scenario he's got to cough up some cash for her.

Brilliant argument there using a poll.

No he did fantastically well at Inter, didn't exactly leave much of a legacy though (scorched earth policy). Real Madrid are always going to score bucket loads of goals with the ridiculous financial advantage they have and the many whipping boys in that division.
I don't know how anyone can claim that winning the one and only Treble ever ever by an Italian club is "not leaving much of a legacy". :wenger:

The fact Inter appointed the Spanish waiter to mess everything up after him wasn't his fault. Was it Sir Alex's fault we finished 7th with Moyes?

Any half rational Pool or City fan should be very concerned he's joining us - since he does win trophies wherever he manages.

Are you so much of a mug you take any notice of silly BBC's polls? Of course it's definitely ALL United supporters voting on that.

Aye, the Eva situation might be embarrassing. Nothing comparable at all to having legal battle over a fecking horse you don't own.

Shows already how the majority of people in the country have doubts about him. I think fans here have been a bit presumptious in how he is currently viewed in the footballing world...
Have doubts? Its a poll. People take the piss with polls all the time.

The majority of people in the country dislike United, of course they are going to click "he'll flop". It's a lazy poll and a lazy argument using it.

You know what I mean, I'm talking about an actual legacy for his successor. He doesn't plan anything beyond his own contract, LVG might not have performed as well as hoped but he has at least given young players a chance and given players like Rashford, Lingard, Mensah, CBJ and Martial plenty of playing time. Absolutely no way Mourinho would have played Rashford and given him the playing time needed to mature.

If you're using that argument - what was his legacy at Real like?

Which managers do? Even Pep didn't. Unless you think him resigning with a squad containing Messi, Iniesta and Xavi means he was 'forward thinking'.

He doesn't really plan anything beyond his current year. When Chelsea won the league he would play their first team in the useless cup competitions.

thh half the votes are probably from the scousers. They do love their polls...

Should we be worried?

David Moyes has dropped out of the running for the Aston Villa manager's job (source: BBC Sport)

Oh, Twiggy.

It's ok SSN are interviewing people outside OF who are happy about the appointment.

You don't honestly believe that internet polls are an accurate source of information, do you???

I think they're good for gauging the views of a nation yes.

There is a clear divide between what some people here think and others in the country. I'd say a LOT of people are very wary about this.

Most of whom hate United (or at least never want us to 'return').

And even still, no it's fecking not.

Absolutely no way Jose would have sold everyone and relied on Rooney alone to score goals in a season.

I'm not happy about the appointment but like all Utd fans he will have my support. I think he is a great tactician and motivator but I am not convinced by the entertainment of his football or his willingness to give young players a chance. I don't think that's a particularly controversial opinion.

Yeah. Some United fans for sure, but also Arsenal fans, Liverpool fans and Spurs fans. We've got a fantastic manager with a very big point to prove.

Come on Twiggy, you are smarter than that.

Ancelotti brilliantly managed that group of has-beens who were run to the ground by Mourinho to La Decima, or something.

 Classic Twigg, after Moyes appointment you wrote 'who cares about Klopp and Mourinho when we just hired David Moyes' and after appointing arguably the most succesful manager of the last decade you're 'worried'.

No you're right, we probably would have signed a 29 year old Mendes client from South America and Rashford would be getting ready for a year's loan at Rotherham. Or worse, sold for a pittance because we never actually gave him a chance to show his worth.

In general his football is entertaining, I haven't followed Chelsea too much but Inter(in Serie A) and Real Madrid were entertaining.

Twigg you're better than this, whats up with you?. There were probably more Liverpool and City fans voting on that poll than there were Utd fans. Jesus Christ lol

It was an accident.... yes that is correct LVG didn't plan to play Rashford at any point during his season perperations

EDIT: Pretty sure Balottelli played under Mou and he also gave Moratta his debut at Real

Or we could sign players like Drogba, Carvalho, Essien, Varane etc. who'd become the core of our team for years. Who knows.

When was the last time he actually signed "any 29yo Mendes client from S America"?
