Mourinho to United | Officially Announced

So, Mourinho has had since December to prepare for this moment.
That means he has had time to analyze our team and work with Woodward behind the scenes on signings and departures.

I would expect alot of news of incomings to come over the next few weeks if this is the case.

All in all a masterstroke from Woodward if true and will be nice to have a manager in before July for a change.

I hate that its been "announced" like this. So cheap and classless. It should have been epic not some backstreet bullshit.

Wouldn't expect too much because of the Euros/Copa America, but I hope you are right.

Nothing major like this goes past the media. You can keep the lid on one transfer but a managerial change affects too many people for it to be kept a proper secret.

As far as we know the club has yet to comment on this.

It says a lot about Mourinho's personality and Mendes that they won't even allow the club and Louis a couple of days to savour the FA cup win before leaking that they will be having talks.

  • Win FA cup
  • Jose as manager
  • And got a bj from a hot girl
Can the night get any better?

I was optimistic today and very positive.
But you have reason to be even more positive than me. DAMN YOU!!!

Don't believe you mate. Post a picture or video

It's real, man.

Stop with the whining and overreaction.

It has been reported in the media for ages, yet no one cares and suddenly today it becomes classless even though the club hasn't made any official statement yet...

this coming out like it has leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth, can't say im the biggest Van Gaal fan, but the guy had just won a trophy, and has left some good groud work with his player development for another manager to work with.

Just hope Mourinho goes against his reputation and doesn't Bench players like Rashford.....

Who knows, with Mourinho here Mendes might want to make his client happy and help us land a few transfers. :)

Three years too late. We've finally got the right man.
in retrospect he was the right manager 3 years ago, to get the last good football out of an aging squad he would of been perfect.

is he the right man now, with a young squad that needs nurturing? its yet to be seen, but if i was a betting man i would guess we will see very little of Rashford next season

If a player is good enough to win us a trophy, he'll play next season. Do people honestly think Jose hates young players that much that he'd purposefully go out of his way not to play them at the detriment of the team? It's complete idiocy.

Rashford is that good Jose will have to pick him.
Yeah u can quote this post in 12 months time Rashford will have scored at least 20 goals.
If he plays in the euros he will excel....... And even if he doesn't he is too clever a player to put out on loan. Amazing vision for an 18 yr old

I think he will be our RW, or at a minimum, get every chance to win the position.

i don't believe he hates young players, but i think Mourinho likes working with experinced players (he admits so himself) players fully formed and ready to play. Young players take nurturing and patience they are up and down and will have hiccups, and Mourinho has never seemed like the manager who wants go through that, but its the only way they ever get better is to play, no players get better sitting on the bench, it ruins them.

Rashford looks like a great talent, i would rather us spend a couple of years bringing him on, rather then be having a chat in a couple of years asking why did Rashford never kick on, when he spent the next 2 years mainly sitting on the bench. which i think is exactly what will happen with Mourinho as manager.

I've been crying uncontrollably for the last 2 hours, is it normal?

Took the shine off our win, for me. Very worried he'll replace this season's academy graduates with experienced players and end up leaving us in a much worse position than we are now, even if he is successful at first.

I've resisted getting too hyped about him, but now that Jose is coming...I think this is how the Dark Side of the Force must have felt when they got Darth Vader.

So apt. This feels good but we all know it's not "good".

If it's true you've appointed Mourinho, you will regret this toxic influence on your club.

Book mark this

Man seeing the reactions on the BBC and on other forums so many fans seem to think we have made a mistake.

I tend to try and avoid internet opinions about our club aside from this forum, the amount of "Sign Messi and Ronaldo" I see is criminal.

Jose's ultimate dream has finally come true. This is what he always wanted.

Why don't we sign Messi and Ronaldo? We would be idiots not to

Simon Stone was on five live saying that the final decision to sack LVG was made after the West Ham game.
