Morgan Schneiderlin | Everton Player

You haven't been following us much I take it. We're like Real Madrid, only we sell total garbage and for a fraction of the price (Ronaldo being the only exception ).

Even profile transfers are a disgrace. Beckham for like £16m. ..They earned that on freaking stickers they sold ffs.

Players like Memphis and Schneiderlin warrants maximum £5m a piece + some goodies from the buyers fan shop.

On the plus side for us is that our sold goods hardly ever make much of an impact.

I've been a season ticket holder for over 20 years so nope I don't follow us much . 5 million each you are having a laugh to be honest.
We got 25 million for Beckham we got 80 for Ronaldo we got 16 for Wellbeck so know what your talking about before you preach

This is really disappointing. I think he's good enough to play at United and either he can't hack the pressure or he lost his desire when he got the big contract. He'll be excellent again at his next club.

I was amongst those that thought he was the missing cog in our midfield. Reality he is a good defensive midfielder but lacks the ability to dictate play from deep like a modern holding mid. He's also not as good at DM as Kante to make him worth shoe Horning in.

He also offers next to nothing in attack so for me he's pointless as a box to box. Someone like Herrera offers so much more.

If that Everton offer is credible, we should take it and run.

40 mil pounds for 2 bench-warmers basically is a steal for us.

Not even bench warmers. Seats in the main stand warmers more like.

and @Maradona10 I believe Depay was 19M up front with another 7M in add ons. Which he obviously never triggered. Total was like 31M euros all considered.

How can it be disappointing, when he's done absolutely nothing since he arrived? I can barely even remember him playing for us despite 32 appearances. That's how unremarkable he was. All I remember was one nice cross field pass, and about 3 mistakes which led to a goal. He'll do well in a team set up to spoil, but for a team with more expansive ambitions he isn't good enough imo.

How can it not be disappointing? He arrived as a proven Premier League player, he's played 32 games for us and for whatever reason hasn't performed. This disappoints me.

He'll restablish himself as one of the better midfielders in the league at his next club.

It hasn't worked out for him, but I don't think he's really been given a fair crack. Under LvG it should of been Carrick at #6 dictating, with Schneiderlin and Herrera ahead of him. Instead we tried to play him deepest and to dictate play, and that's just not his game.

Been very surprised Jose hasn't rated him either.

Schneiderlin was important to Van Gaal's style of play last year, whereas Herrera was lucky to make the bench. Jose comes in and Herrera suddenly become an important player and Schneiderlin is lucky to make the bench.

Just how it goes, one manager rated Schneiderlin & Herrera one way and the other manager rates them the opposite.

Moving to West Brom from Manchester United is hardly a sign of ambition, he just wants to play in a league he is used to without having to actually fight for a place in the team.

And have you ever been to West Bromwich? I think it would be less of a culture shock to move to Shanghai.

Staying in one of the top leagues in the world when you're still in your prime is ambition, if you perform well maybe a 2nd big move happens, as opposed to going to a dead end league purely to line your pockets.

Should be asking for at least 18-20M. 13M is a joke, and so are we when it comes to selling players.
When its players who aren't getting a game though then you have to consider the millions we're wasting a year on their wages. The maths would make it better to sell quick for less than sell for more a couple of years down the line even if we could manage it.

big shame I thought he would become a big player important ne... but undofrtunately he wasnt upto it mentally, so lethim go...

Utterly let down by this transfer. Had high hopes for him.

People say he has been shit or not our club level bla bla then thought it was ridiculous when someone bid him 13m? I mean he hasn't been playing much for us this season.

Why would a club would pay much for a player like him? No top clubs are bidding for him. Which tells you something. Around 15m would be a very decent price for us.

Money with/for transfers is not exactly a problem for us. We need to lower wage bill for new players.

Which top clubs were bidding for Nani?

Its not like he went on to win something.

Schneiderlin has been devalued by not getting much of a sniff on the pitch after a decent start to last season.

All for Morgan and Memphis moving on if it means Mourinho can buy replacements that he envisages can help the squad.

I would rather have sold Fellaini and kept Schneiderlin, he offers more than Marouane and is a better player.

But that said, he hasn't turned up really for United. It's a weird one - he played brilliantly with Wanyama, but it seems like LVG bought him to play Wanyama's role. Which is odd, and not surprising that it didn't work out. He'll do well with Idrissa Gueye behind him at Everton.

At least we'll be getting the majority of the cash back it seems, I wish him well too he seems a decent chap.

I couldn't agree more on the Fellaini over Schneiderlin comment. I'm still baffled as to how any manager in the world can rate fellaini over schneiderlin.

I can understand why, it seems simple. Fellaini seems to have a stronger mentality than Schneiderlin in every game and applies himself in a better way. Fellaini has had periods of form Schneiderlin has never had because he probably works a lot harder in training.

I'm guessing, in José's eyes he sees one player who is fairly limited technically but works his arse off and does exactly what's asked of him without a fuss and another player who disappears every time he is on the pitch and had directly led to us shipping a few goals during his time here despite the fact the has the ability to be a lot better than he shows. If the latter WANTS to leave, why wouldn't you let him?

Eh what?!

What has Fellaini got to do with this?

Its pretty simple. Fellaini has been the better player for United. Some people dont want to admit it but he performs in the big games for us and scored some vital goals over the past few seasons. We won the FA Cup largely due to his involvement. Any other player would go down as a hero if they did what Marouane did in that cup run.

Schneiderlin was a flop at United. Can't remember any standout performances and clearly lacks the mentality for a club like this. Fellaini could have left years ago but he worked hard and kept his head down... Schneiderlin had a chance to play for the biggest club in England and he asks for a transfer to West Brom of all places instead pf staying for the duration of his contract and try to take his opportunity when it comes like Rojo and Jones did.

He blew it.

Fully blew his chance to be any good at united. Feel sorry for him, but really it's his fault.

Well that's not an exaggeration at all.

Schneiderlin has been a total failure at Man Utd.

It sucks to admit it but he's just not worked out for us. The thing is, his outstanding attribute is his TACKLING. When I think of what Morgan Schneiderlin offers - that's literally it. He's uncreative, slow, and doesn't come across as working particularly hard in the games he's played -for us- (though at Southampton he had some great performances). There's a case that he could maybe convert to a ball playing CB but if van Gaal didn't do it then nobody will.

He'd do well somewhere with less expectation.

Glad he's going. Was very underwhelmed when he signed. He was never United quality. Let the clear out begin...

Eh what?!

No top clubs bidding for a player doesnt always mean its not a good player or not worth a large amount. We let Nani go for next to nothing, without top clubs going for him and he was one of portugal's best players as they won the euros. We shouldnt continue to make those mistakes.

You can't expect smaller clubs paying what big clubs like us pay for certain players especially when the said player is out of favor. And he is not a young player with potential either.

Nani and morgan are different players, in different situations and contributed differently up to that point of their careers though.

He's a mature player with a proven track record in the premier league. 1 bad game in the champions league doesnt change that.

It was not 1 bad game. It was his overall contributions which was not good enough for a top club with 2 managers. So it is a bigger issue.

Also it is all about how you approach the market. We have nothing to hold out for and I am sure we want to get rid of him. In that situation, getting 15 m out of 24 m back would be nice.

Thats not really true, he was fine last season. He played better than Ander for example and look at him now. He wasnt of the standard he was at Southampton, but still better than the poor performances around him. More than enough to be given a run of games this season to see if he can do better.

Well we need his standard of when he was at southampton at least to make it here imo. He hasn't shown it and it has not been good enough.

After all, we bought him for that standard and was hoping him to get better.

Really don't understand why Van Gaal signed him when persisting to play his style; he looked so uncomfortable on the ball and took an age to pass the ball. Worst part is he wasn't even good off the ball to compensate for this, he looked like he had no idea how to tackle.

Best of luck to him but he was out of his depths here.

His standard at Southampton would be enough to rival Ander and Pogba as our best performing player this season. So above and beyond whats needed to make it here. But alas he hasnt shown it and hasn't been given anywhere near enough chance to get some momentum going.

Maybe he really doesnt have the mentality for a top club, but it doesnt look like we're going to find out if we sell him before giving him a good run of games. The same would have been said about Jones and Rojo before recent months had we sold them in the previous window for peanuts.

Well that's not an exaggeration at all.
Compare our perfomances away at West Ham last season.

Both crucial games. One a QF in the cup, another a game to seal top 4.

Fellaini was a crucial component in us winning the QF, while Morgan played an the league game with Fellaini banned at the time.Morgan was simply atrocious and was duly subbed off early.

I can understand some of the Fellaini hate, but some people allow it to blind what is right in front of their eyes.

Nani is playing for relegation threatened Valencia.

There is a reason why the big clubs have stayed away.

Nani leaving is barely a mistake as it is.
