I haven't been this excited about a midfield signing since Hargreaves.
(If the reports are to be believed)

Doesn't matter, he'll soon be joining Shaw in the physio room.Well he did miss 15 games last season from 3 different injuries
Though he had no injuries at all during his time at Southampton before then so that's good. But as we all know, previous injury history means nothing when it comes to Manchester United.
You're easily pleased. Hargreaves was a limited player, and injury prone.I haven't been this excited about a midfield signing since Hargreaves.

Yeah that may be possible, remember when we signed Shaw then signed Herrera the day after? We then signed no one for aaaages but that's understandable as LVG needed time to review the squad.i think we have lined him up for a long time already. just awaiting to wrap up most of our other signings altogether by 1 or 2 weeks before the preseason starts
If we sign him, will this be the first time we have a real defensive midfielder since Keane?
Edit: Sorry we bought Hargreaves.

Wasn't Anderson a stellar DM in Porto? Being called the next Gilberto and what not? Fergie tried to mold him to a box-to-box MF but he lacked necessary attributes to attack..
He mostly played on the left wing at Porto. And Anderson was the complete opposite he was an attacking midfielder that was turned into a box to box midfielder.
Reading through this morning and this was the most sensible thing on the Caf - and it was by an Arsenal fan! It's Friday night, you lot need to get out and have a pint or summat.
Gary Neville will be particularly happy if we manage to sign Schneiderlin. He's been raving about him all season.

He was meant to be the 'next' Ronaldinho, and if your post was serious I guess it just goes to show how far he has fallen since his early days.

so the people that voted him the golden boy winner were just going on reputation too?. A young Anderson pre injury clearly had bundles of talent, he just loved too party too much. I guess that's where the Ronaldinho comparison ends though. The only one raving about him was our chief scout, a former Hibernian coach whose been sacked by his club only to land himself the chief scout role at one of the biggest clubs of Britain. His own brother SAF almost laughed at him as he described Ando as having more talent than Rooney. Such episode gives a better picture of the level of staff United had back then.
The Ronaldinho link came from some average journalist who knew nothing about Anderson and wanted to write something about him. It was evident from day 1 that the only thing that Ando and Ronaldinho was their nationality.
I feel if we REALLY want him he will come. Offer him the

Read again, I am not saying he was shit. I am only saying that he was nowhere near to the hype built around him. May I also remind you that not all golden boys managed to fulfill their early promise. VDV, Pato and Balotelli are among those names.
