Gutted.
Gutted.
Annoying this Schneiderlin thing.
The one Saints player (Who is a LFC fan) that would have suited us down to a tee and we didn't even inquire despite shopping down there 4 times in the last year.
Ugh
Southampton have not shut up about this for over a week. Koeman and Les Reed have had their say.
Can't go to bed when Edorama Festival is on. I'm really happy with this, and this makes the signing of Schweinsteiger even better as I feared Morgan was the 2nd option. Schneiderlin ticks all the boxes for me: PL proven, perfect age and last but not least, finally real quality to replace Carrick. What a signing.
Feel sorry for Southampton though. They've done amazingly well and seems to do everything right when it comes to running a football club, but up steps the bigger clubs to do everything they cant to ruin their progress. Hopefully their signings will kick on like the ones they purchased last summer.
Love the total silence during the negotiation stage. Seems to me that both clubs had an agreement to keep it completely under the radar, probably to give both clubs the best negotiation climate as possible for both the Schneiderlin case and other recruits (Clasie, Schweinsteiger). Well done United and Southampton.
Buzzing!

Today, definitely. So when do we get an announcement?
Great news to wake up to. We all got played. We were all too busy following Schweinsteiger's private jet's flight path, whilst Morgan Schneiderlin probably rolled in on the Megabus.
It's a hover megabus. All the way from Austria????
It's a hover megabus.
, is Ana involved?
Schweinsteiger and Carrick should alternate especially with their age and injury issues. My fear is that this signing means Herrera is back to the bench again.
They won't impact Herrera. He's our creative midfielder.
With Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Carrick and Blind to protect him now we won't ever need to see him in a more defensive role and he'll be allowed more freedom. Could be great. He's only 26 too so he can still improve significantly.I'd like to see him at number 10. I think that's the position that suits him best of all.
They've mentioned fees and named us as the club interested. Also said our bid wasn't serious, as in a way to belittle the bid we made. All they have said is that there's nothing new to report but that they expect Schneiderlin to leave at some stage.
What's the update on this guys? I had a crazy dream last night that he was snuck into Carrington behind a Bastian Schweinsteiger shaped smoke bomb and they will BOTH sign today
I think that is true both ways. Schwein and Schneid are like the ultimate combi signing, like two sticks of a Twix. The feck. I went to sleep with a smile on my face because we've just signed Darmian and Schweinsteiger. Woke up to the news of Schneiderlin confirmed as well
I'd be a bit 'meh' about him if we hadn's signed Schwein but with him in the squad as well, I'm all in for Schneiderlin.
GET IN!!!!!!!
Woodward I love you.
Probably had to wait until today for their registration with the FA.Have they locked him and Swine's Tiger in the MRI overnight and forgotten?
What about his surname. Is it common in France. It sounds German.
@JPRouve
Ah, I see. I have relatives in Alsace by my wife's side, many thing sound German there. He is Alsatian, so yeah it's normal that it sounds German, they are on the other side of the boarder.
Go on..I like Herrera's encoded message and i'm sure gutted I missed it at the time Can anyone guess what it was? (on his twitter)
I hope they wont do it while I'm at lunch. They're gonna present them together aren't they ?
Isn't it one of these places that has been German at one time then back to French again? He is Alsatian, so yeah it's normal that it sounds German, they are on the other side of the boarder.
