I think Smalling is nailed on to be the next captain if he can stay fit - hence establish himself as a first team regular. Fits the profile perfectly.
Over the moon. He was my top target this summer. The best thing is it's made the Schweinsteiger (still can't quite believe it) deal ten times better thanks to the added cover this brings .
.Very glad he is coming in. As SAF would say there is value in the transfers of him and Bastian. Though maybe it is overkill, getting them both is too good of a deal to pass on.
