RAWK and Bluemoon love these comparisons.

Raheem Sterling 49m

Schweinsteiger(14m), Schneiderlin(24m), Darmian(12m) 50m.

Darmian is a nobody, Schneiderlin is as average as Lovren and Schweinsteiger is a washed up mercenary.

Ah feck, the only signing Utd have made this summer that has me genuinely upset. :(

Off Rawk -
Carrick, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger. Are they trying to have the build the slowest midfield ever?

Who needs speed when we will never lose the ball while passing teams to death.

A lot of credit goes to the French journalist who called this a done deal some weeks back.

Best part is there's no logic in Castles tweet. Of course. Neither is fee for Morgan high, neither is Schweini on high wages.
But he keeps embarrassing himself.

We are going to have such a finely balanced side next season. Herrera - schneiderlin - bastian / mata - Rooney - ADM.

Get a centre back in and we have a first 11 capable of mounting a serious title challenge and going far in Europe. Excellent work so far by LVG and Woodward.

Oh you wait till the season starts. You're grossly underestimating the signings of Basti and Depay.

Depay could be gold, no doubting it, but he's coming into a new (much stronger) league so I'm kind of hoping he has first season acclimatisation issues. Bastien is this season's Falcao (my ears are still ringing at how many Utd fans were telling me he was going to fck us and the league over). So he's one to wait and see where his head is at.

But Schneiderlin is pure quality. I could always rely on Carrick getting injured but now there's brilliant cover there.

I don't get the Falcao comparisons. Falcao was coming back from a serious injury and was sort of on the decline for 18 months. Basti is coming of a very good season and winning the WC 12 months ago. He is right in his peak. Probably can play for another two to three years in the same form. We have adequate cover now even if he is injured.

What's the deal with Castles, did he ask some dumbass question at a presser only for SAF to call a "wee thick slaphead" or something? Impressive level of butthurt.

Im ofcourse excited but a bit overkill imo. We have to play Herrera for sure.
Lot more games this season, plenty of room for everyone, then there's form and fitness. Last season we crumbled when Carrick wasn't available, don't think that'll happen this year!

Ofcourse, but Schweini, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, (Pereira, di Maria) for 3 positions is quite much. Blind is no world beater, but surely he could be our 3rd CDM at the very least. Anyway who cares, lets win some trophies.

I now, when this Clasie rumors came out, think that Schneiderlin deal is as good as done. English media is clueless, i don't know how they can have so much money because they are not very good at their business.

Schweinsteiger reports came from Germany, Darmian reports came from Italy, Depay from Holland, Di Maria from Spain,... Nothing from English media. If Di Marzio wouldn't report Darmian news he could be at Carrington for 2 days and no one would know about that.

Schneiderlin could be already on the plane to us or even doing a medical at Carrington and English media would know nothing. Wouldn't be suprised if some German jurno brake Schneiderlin news when he see him at Carrington while waiting for the Bastian news.
Just want to pay a tribute to English media.

How they can be so clueless. I obviously wrote that half seriously but it has happened. When it looked like there is nothing in this, he was probably on a plane to Manchester. As some reported he came to Carrington minutes behind Schweinsteiger and nobody saw him. Well there were few tweets from the german media which was waiting for Bastian why nobody is reporting Schneiderlin deal. How can Sky have whole channel dedicated to this news when they can't spot a player coming to a medical. It is trully shocking stuff. Are they really just sitting behind the computers and waiting for someone to call them with breaking news?

Words fail me. What a fantastic weekend this has been!

I took a nap and woke up to this. What a weekend. Ed Woodward rightly trending on Twitter.

Get the feck in. Didn't expect to see this one wrapped up before the tour. Incredible weekend. It's making me feel much better about the Basti deal as well. :D

Basically the media know absolutely nothing about our dealings this summer. Ed really has learned his lessons since the first year. They are getting nothing from the club at all. He's been having a medical today and they still knew nothing.

Van Gaal said early on in the season he saw Herrera as a #10 or #8. There'll be room for all three.
If we play 4231 we have Carrick, Schweini, Schneiderlin and Blind for the 2 midfielders then, while Id like Herrera to play next to one of them ideally.

If we play 433, it's basically the same, 2 positions are free for the 4 of them if we play Herrera. It'll be quite a bench.

I'd imagine Blind will see more time at fullback, and Di Maria on the wing, not sure LvG is happy with him in the middle.

feck it though, I'd rather have too many than play Rooney as DM again.

Blind will fight it out with Shaw, Di Maria is a winger here and Pereira is a kid that may or may not go out on loan.

It's basically five players (Carrick, Herrera, Bastian, Morgan and Fellaini) for three spots. Perfect.

I think that it was Ogden who said that, Woodward doesn't like them.

Not at all.

They wait now until it's posted on Twitter.

This is exactly the sort of midfielder that moved around for years while Fergie continued with the same 'if someone can show me another Roy Keane or Paul Scholes out there' rhetoric. Meanwhile our rivals were getting stronger.
