A new MW coming out? Nice.

Never played MW1 so the stimulus pack would be totally new for me (as some say two out of five maps are from MW1).

Yeah thats true two of the maps are from the older game IIRC.

Yeah, it's called Black Ops or something, there is a thread in this forum somewhere about it.

Tar has the same power, probably a slightly worse iron sight but a bigger clip and more mags. I use hardline because the gun is powerful as it is (scar or tar). I think the Chopper is better on some maps, AC130 better on others.
 
Heres one for ya's.............

Last night I saw the green graphic saying new maps are available via the playstation store NOW. Went in and couldnt see it so typed in Modern Warfare and downloaded the expansion pack which was 10euro. Took me about 10 seconds to notice I was downloaded was wrong fecking pack :mad:

I presume Ive no comeback on this? You generally dont get your money back for reasons of stupidity
 
I there any way of finishing a chopper gunner while you're still in the air. I had just got a nuke and our team was losing 195 to 184 in domination but I couldn't use the damn nuke because I was still flying the chopper. :mad:

Yeah I started practising with a chopper and now I've become better and got 3 nukes with it. Two on wasteland and one on highrise. Takes some fun out of the game going for nukes though.

No, I was playing them last night. Took me ages to realise that when you go to pick a game mode that it says stimulus down the bottom. I just thought I wasn't getting put in any games on the new levels due to bad luck :lol:

I didn't really enjoy them, basically because I'm not used to them yet but I'm sure I'll get to know them.
 
Is it worth 11 quid though? That's a quarter of a game in terms of price.
 
Deffo not paying 1/3 the price of the game for what are essentially 3 new maps.

Activision has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will receive a second download pack in late 2010.

Activision's Thomas Tippl said during a recent financial earnings call that Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops, out later this year, will be joined by another DLC pack for MW2, but didn't reveal any further details as to what to expect from it.

The second Map pack is being developed by Infinity Ward, and although no pricing was announced, Tippl said that the controversial $15 (£10.20) price tag of the recent Stimulus Pack "has still provided a fantastic value to gamers... we think that has worked."

So, are you ready to stump another tenner for some maps?

Got it last night for free, not played it yet but it's a bit shit that the type of games are restricted - I mostly play Hardcore Team Deathmatch which isn't on there.
 
Is it just me or does anyone else who got the stimulus pack seem to be thrown into a game in one of the new maps 95% of the time now. Getting sick of it.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has confirmed the first details of Modern Warfare 2's Resurgence Pack.

As with the first DLC add-on, Stimulus Package, Resurgence Pack will see two maps return from the original Modern Warfare. In this case, the maps making their comeback are Vacant and Strike.

Resurgence Pack will also contain new maps Trailer Park, Carnival and Fuel. And yes, it will cost $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points. Again. Which we're sure won't make the internet angry at all. Nope. We're sure everyone will calmly calculate the value of said three new maps and rationally discuss whether it warrants their purchase or not. We know how these things work. We're professionals.

Resurgence Pack will be released on June 3rd.

I'm really not very impressed with the new maps, and I'm getting them far too often. I much prefer the ones we started with.
 
COD just irritates me now. It's full of people that spend their life on it and know the maps inside out. There's just no chance for people that only go on it from time to time.
