Gaming Modern Warfare 2

I'm up to rank 36 having prestige'd once. I regretted doing it at first, but it is somewhat rewarding. Sitting on 70 would become boring IMO.

I hate dieing on 10 kills, one more for the fecking chopper gunner.

This is interesting, I can't remember the last game i was in where there wasn't at least 4 10th prestiges, and i see non-prestige's extremely rarely.
This pretty much confirms my theory that each player has a 'true rank' level, which determines the skill of the lobbies, you are put into.

You sayin' I'm shit and get put into correspondingly shit lobbies, boy?

I hate getting the chopper gunner only for some fecker to reach the maximum score, thereby ending the game before I've gotten a chance to use it. That's been happening quite frequently to me, recently.

Evening Lance, I'd heard you'd been banned, good to see you.

Biscuit; how can you tell who has prestige'd?

If by "banned" you mean "was unintentionally logged out and completely forgot my password" then that is correct.

You can tell who has prestige'd by the symbol by their ranking. Each level of prestige has one symbol, as opposed to your first attempt at climbing the ladder during which your symbol changes with each rank.

First prestige is a kind of silver cross.

Good to see you too. :)

In a round about way.....

Just by looking at the badge next to a players name.

These are the 10 prestige badges, just so you lot can tell:

Its cant be easy starting over with crap guns.
It's not, it's really, really annoying. But you're now used to the maps, and ranking up to about 30 takes no time, really. You can get up to double figures in rank in a handful of games.

Once I had the Scar, that was me happy again.

Thanks for the info lads, I will keep an eye out for the triple hard bastards who have prestige'd!

The scar is my weapon of choice too Lance, I need 30 headshots to have done all challenges for it, then I will need to pick a new toy to work on!

I have done it.

First game wasnt too bad - 11 kills, 10 deaths in TDM.
Yeah, I pretty much play TDM exclusively. That's not a bad score, I got hosed in my first few games after I did it.

As soon as I unlocked my first red dot sight that was me back on track.

Go for the ACR. Similar to the Scar, only not as powerful, but more accurate at longer range. Not much between them IMO. My favourite guns in the game.

Yea the ACR is on another of my custom classes, but I only really use it when I run out of ammo and pick one up from another player.

i am on level 15 prestige 2.
it doesnt mean im awsome at the game, just play it more often.

il be a while on this prestige though, i want to complete every challenge for every gun, getting every attachment.

If you think that's bad, you don't want to even know what prestige i am.

My badge is a silver skull.
I have a friend who has over 70,000 kills on COD4. And he has two accounts, he has a bunch on the other one, too. So you aren't that bad.

By the way, I keep hearing about this care package glitch, and I am aware that it allows you to call in care packages constantly. What I don't know, is how it works?

I think I've only encountered it in game a couple of times. Personally, I find the fags who use commando pro, lightweight pro, tactical knife, etc, to be far more annoying.

Ar thats the thing Lance, i also have a 2nd account on 2nd prestige. I did play COD4 a lot less though, and am also no where near 70,000 kills on this game fortunately.

Essentially it involves you getting a care package (or emergency air drop), pressing right so the signal flare canister is in your hand, then finding a place which you can climb on which requires 'A' to be pressed and then climbing on it whilst pressing right on the D-pad twice. Then you put the care package out, pick up what ever is dropped and you have both what ever was dropped and another care package.

I wasn't going to post it on here, but seeing as literally everyone already knows it, i don't see the problem.

And agreed, the light weight, commando fags are fecking annoying.

Not to worry, if I had the time (and patience) I would be on it a hell of a lot more than I already am.

Cheers for the rundown on the glitch. It amazes me how people discover this shit.

im now rank 60 (no prestiges or anything yet). personally i dont play the game enough to make prestiging worthwhile, i would rather try to unlock all the rest of the challenges and stuff before i start over again.

I remember the good old days when proper cheats were in nearly every game and required at least a dozen button presses... memories.

Yup cheats != glitch.

Cheats are programmed in I think...

The cheats on GTA were deliberately programmed 'cheats' which either provided weapons, called off police, gave infinite ammo, etc etc, or did more novelty things, like making all pedestrians Elvis Presley, or naked, or angry.

They do also have easter eggs, which are hidden messages or jokes, such as the statue of happiness (statue of liberty) in GTA IV having a beating heart which you can see when you walk through a wall and climb a ladder.

Yeah agreed. I must have been editing my post as you typed.

Therefore MW2 doesn't have any 'cheats' because we are talking about online play, so the programmes wouldn't have wanted to give any unfair advantages, where as the cheats on GTA were offline, so it didn't really matter.

When I discovered 'riot mode' as we used to call it, I couldn't play the game any other way....

Well by your apparent discovery you seem to miss the 'connecting to match making server' at the start of the multi-player screen!

Of course the game has a skill level which determines what lobby you're placed into.
