That's a silly tweet and not the one from Maddock?
The one from Maddock may be melodramatic, but the one you posted is silly.

No, it's not, it's a perfectly normal reply to a silly tweet. He played for his country therefore that is courageous? Bonkers.The one from Maddock may be melodramatic, but the one you posted is silly.
its completely unprecendented what this man has gone through. Oh wait, no. Its nothing of the sort, as it happens all the time.Bit much hate towards Salah? and thats coming from a United supporter.
This man clearly tried everything a human possibly could do to lift the hopes and spirit of his country. Playing despite severe pain (i assume) and taking the responsibility to win or loose as the leader. all despite a high unlikelihood to reach the final rounds. no one would have blamed salah if egypt lost, in contrast he would seem even more of a superstar. Never seemed like a guy who is soft or not fully commited towards either club or nation (unlike Oezil).
To make fun of this situation or to assume any bad motivation is pure disrespect towards a player and person who has always acted 100% correct on and off the pitch.

A bit like your posts suggesting he was faking his injury in the final.I think it's a joke..
It's got to be.. right?

Footballers rush back from injuries all the time. And they are constantly one bad tackle/awkward fall away from season (or even career) ending injuries. Salah playing in the World Cup while not 100% fit is miles away from actual bravery.
A slightly harsh assessment. There is a good chance that this will be his only chance to play in a World Cup. Certainly worth risking a shoulder injury. It’s hardly like he’s playing with a fractured ankle or ligament damage. Anyway he only has one game left now anyway, he’ll be back preparing for another trophy less season soon enough.He played unfit. It would have been far better for him if he says "feck off" and went on to complete rehabilitation for next season (which is very important for him to prove he didn't just have a freak season) but decided to risk it in the tournament. If the injury was aggravated and fecked up his next season, he would have been fecked.
I think you should write him a written apology.Where did I say he was faking it? Remind me lad.

I’ll get a petition for it if I have to, you know I’ll get the numbers!
Irrelevant of whether it’s salah or not. If I was from a country that like Egypt hadn’t qualified for the World Cup in 35 years then I would 100% represent my country in it if I was carrying a shoulder injury even if there was no chance of winning it or not. I can’t believe anyone would feel any differently.Another player wouldn't simply have risked it, because it's not like he's playing for a team that's going to compete anyway.
I'm still United fan and will never support Liverpool for anything even if they have an Egyptian player, feck them, but Salah is a pure footballer, not provoking anyone, no haircuts, no tattoos, no stupid celebrations, just plays, scores and goes home. You hardly see these kind of players these days so I don't think he's worth hate or having fun of him. His only problem is he plays for Liverpool, which another great season in England and he'll leave and this problem will be done for.
theres hardly much mocking the poor guy being injured. Its the Liverpool pity and over exagerration people object toAnother player wouldn't simply have risked it, because it's not like he's playing for a team that's going to compete anyway.

Not gonna judge him off this but if this was a United player, say Pogba going off in tears in a Champions League final and then doing nothing in a crucial game like this (apart from a miss that he'd normally score) he'd be branded weak, a choker and not up for it etc; etc;
I expect a million excuses.

I agree but I just feel if he played for United he wouldn't get a pass. I actually don't have anything bad to say about him just find the media to be a bunch of loons when it comes to Liverpool and protecting their stars.Getting injured in the first match, then plays the other match unfit and earlier than he should ?
I understand he plays for Pool but come on. He's one of those players that just plays the match and that's it, hardly tries to provoke the opponent on the pitch, does a weird haircut, has a strange tattoo or does anything to make anyone hate him.
I expected nothing but I'm just saying if Pogba, for example had gone off injured in a final and then showed up unfit and didn't make a difference in the World Cup he'd be getting tons of abuse.I'll be honest; the first words that came to mind after reading this post were 'thick' and 'cnut'.
But in an attempt to be civilised:
He plays for Egypt and was half fit. Not sure what else you expected.

Vardy type levels of purple patch. He won't score half the goals next season.
Russia moved to the brink of qualifying for the last 16 of the World Cup after the host nation beat Mohamed Salah's Egypt in St Petersburg
They always word things like that. Seems like people are looking for any reason to have a digThat’s a BBC article. When did Salah own Egypt?
It's common, but I find it odd every time!They always word things like that. Seems like people are looking for any reason to have a dig
Well Egypt owns nothing else of note, might as well make him the owner.That’s a BBC article. When did Salah own Egypt?

Fewer.
Bravery would have been picking himself up in the CL final and battling on with his team mates until the end.
@B20 @Dumbstar @RobinLFC @ShadesOfTomato rally the men!If you get me 20 Caf signatures I'll apologise.
Tbf it's not many just the one usual suspect.This thread is weird. United fans generally being very embarrassing

Why are LFC journos so weird?
I get that and my 1st post here yesterday was that I feel sorry for him. But you have to agree that tweet is exaggerating it to say it mildly.He played unfit. It would have been far better for him if he says "feck off" and went on to complete rehabilitation for next season (which is very important for him to prove he didn't just have a freak season) but decided to risk it in the tournament. I suppose, I just don't get the British way of banter. For me personally making fun of this situation is something I just wouldnt do.Pure RAWK.
Where's the hate?
And god forbid United fans on United forum make fun of him. Sewere pain? I reckon he was fit to play so he probably didn't feel any pain.
Yes it happens, and everytime I have nothing but respect. But in how important this WC is for Egypt and how Salah is their greatest star ever... its understandable how journalists can become full of pathos.its completely unprecendented what this man has gone through. Oh wait, no. Its nothing of the sort, as it happens all the time.
Totally agreeing here: Salah is one of those who behave perfectly. No diving, no dirty plays... nothing. Not even boring like Owen. From a small place in Egypt, looking like he is enjoying every moment. Can only hope he does well. (Someone I would love to see at United's right wing).I'm still United fan and will never support Liverpool for anything even if they have an Egyptian player, feck them, but Salah is a pure footballer, not provoking anyone, no haircuts, no tattoos, no stupid celebrations, just plays, scores and goes home.
