Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

We have been relegated from the u23s league after derby beat west ham yesterday 1-0.

I don't like that they opened the u18s to public vote. I don't think Chong should even really be nominated, he played 6 games for the u18s and he is going to win player of the year.

James Garner should win the JMYTPOTY as he's been on a different level to everybody else this season, but Chong will win it, and nobody deserves the u23 award, so i'd give it to Ricky Sbragia.

Agreed. Had Mitchell stayed I think he'd have been the stand out by far as he started pretty well for the U23s but it would've been a waste of time had he stayed.

Why couldn't they play the game at Wembley or another big stadium? It would've given the youngsters some valuable experience playing in a final in front of tens of thousands of fans at a young age.

Yeah what a pain, not gonna work for me after Brighton previous evening.

Stephen Howson of FTD saying that all of our first year U18s have been given pro deals. Surely a very rare occurence?

15 year old Karamoko Dembele is supposed to be a wonderkid, perhaps he will be part of their squad?

Good luck to the four lads called up for the UEFA U17 Championship that starts this week:

England - Ethan Laird & James Garner
Belgium - Largie Ramazani
Spain - Arnau Puigmal

Means they all miss the Final against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon sadly, but i'm sure they've got a few missing for the same reason.....

Luckily for United Mason Greenwood hasn't been selected because he isn't 17 yet, and has got exams to study for.

Laird and Garner are an huge miss.

Is Traore still presumed dead?

It unlucky for England to be missing their two best players for the U17 Euros because of GCSEs!

Aye. He should look at the great things they've done with their youth transitioning into the first team over the last few years.

To be fair, Foden has been involved far more than his United equivalents this year, but of course, your point still stands.
