Miscellaneous Reserve/Youth News

That's true for almost every top player in England, so many clubs sniffing around. To keep hold of your top talent is probably one of the hardest things right now.

Yeah can imagine with Ineos they probably aren't very flexible with the financial inducements associated with City's academy

Hate to lose a talented player but if at 14 you’re using social media to stir it up I’m afraid United might not be the club for you. I also wonder if this has happened because he hasn’t gotten game time with the U18s. Again it’s somewhat unreasonable to expect that at his age, if that is the reason. Anyway good riddance.
I would like to agree with that. It doesn't seem right when a 14-year-old is active on social media these days.

That’s only natural but there are different ways to use that. My interpretation is that he acts a bit entitled.

Is that his management agency? cringe post. Infact both posts sound a bit entitled, but it's his life he is free to do what he likes. Something always seemed a bit off with him/his management, always too much noise for a kid so young.

That’s his dad. Also wouldn’t be surprised if the post from JJ is him too as he also partially manages his account I believe.

Looks like JJ Gabriel is leaving. Has deleted any United-related posts as well.
I'm not surprised. In recent weeks/months, he has shown on social media that he has been present at various City games.

He looks a talented player, but I don't like the vibes I'm getting from him. The whole 'look at me' attitude. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Sad to see that, but talents will come and go. If his dad is such a problem now, would be a nightmare when he is older.

Saw a twitter account put him as one of the top talents of the academy when he is 14, and when he got criticized in the replies, said his dad had approved putting his name there.

Made no sense considering there is a long way to go. Saw plenty of stars at academy level flop at the top for various reasons. Don't think his dad is helping with that type of attitude.

Although it’s driven by the current extreme circumstances, hopefully the sight of Chido and others getting bench/game time now and over the next couple of months will have some kind of sway. Nathan Salt, who has been increasingly covering academy developments at United in the United Confidential column, has done a piece today outlining the battle to keep him. He’s clearly researched the story and doesn’t make reference to a final decision.
