Matthew Olosunde's just come on to make his debut for the USMNT against Bolivia, seems like an experimental squad, but they're winning 3 nil and he looks like he's come on a lot in terms of size (might be the kit lol) But defo a positive in terms of his development

Also being linked with a return to the NYRB.

Disappointed Jake Kenyon is being released without being given a fair chance in the 23s, he had a horrendous time with injuries and did well to get back from them to perform so well for the 18s, and i've got a personal reason for wanting him to have progressed at the club as well.

Surprised if re. the tweet Indy Boonen has left, and i've got a horrible feeling one of my favourites from that age group Tosin Kehinde may leave as well.

Where has it said that Boonen left? The tweet says we've offered him a new contract.

Ah crap! Didn't see the reply to the tweet.

Pity if so. Looked a classy player on the occasions I've seen him.

Hmm there's a real chance for Laird to start for the U23s next season now Riley and Kenyon have left (and surely Mitchell won't play U23s football next season?). Would imagine Tanner and O'Connor to be first choice for FBs but perhaps O'Connor will play CB from times to times.

There articles always over rate Nigerians so much. He should leave anyway. He's been in the u23s long enough and has never been able to impose himself enough. He should go to a weaker league on the continent as he will never hack it in lower leagues.

Well they're hardly likely to turn round and say he's shite are they, and as for impose himself, the season before last he was probably the best player(for spells)in the 23s, Ricky Sbragia didn't seem to fancy him but.....

It's a great website for info on the Nigerian lads in the under-age teams, stuff you rarely see anywhere else, and some of us sad bastards want to know that kinda stuff.

Or they can just be realistic and state what he is. A prodigy and being chased by Europe's elite? And trying to compare him to Sancho and Pogba? Their articles are consistently written like a joke. You'd think Kehinde and Olosunde were our two best players by their articles. They share some good info on Nigerian players but it doesn't change the fact that the writing and articles are terrible.

He wasn't even close to being the best player in the 23s, Harrop for one was miles better. He is a decent technical player who never imposes himself and never really produces anything substantial. He isn't close to the top bracket of our youths nor the bracket underneath either.

Any website that can provide info like below will do for me, and if occasionally they go hyperbolic about one or two of the players, so what ? Here's an idea if as you say the writing and articles are so terrible, or a joke, just don't read 'em

We'll have to disagree on Harrop as well, yeah he was the top scorer with ten(helped by early season penalties, and a hattrick in the last match), but as one of the more senior players in the group he appeared to coast through most of the season when the team needed him most.

You haven't a clue then.

They go hyperbolic over most players. A terrible article is a terrible article, full stop, no excuse.

I don't actively go looking for their website but when one of their articles appears in my newsnow feed i'll read it as I appreciate the work they do, often finding info that isn't readily available elsewhere and if occasionally they get giddy about a particular player(and yes they do) just put it down to them being proud that a fellow Nigerian is representing Manchester United football club rather than being misleading, where's the harm in that ?

In terms of first team prospects none of them are a loss except Henderson, if he goes tbh.

We could have made a few million selling a few down the line but none of them I saw as a future united prospect.

Well, not sure to be honest that we could get some serious money for those kids. Redmond had a loan spell in League One and could not get minutes, so I guess you can't expect some money from League Two clubs, while he is taking minutes in U23 from someone with more potential. Boonen and Hamilton (beside Henderson) as the only players from this list that can develop to Championship and above quality, although I guess Boonen will move to Belgium/Netherlands/Germany as better option

You've compared him to a player almost 3 years older than him, baring in mind Kehinde missed almost 2 seasons because of injury if I recall correctly, his progress has been decent to be performing at the standard he is now. Also, I don't think he got enough game time in the 23's even though he was one of their better performers last season, so to compare him to a 21-year-old Harrop, when he was 18 coming back from some lengthy spells off is a tad bit harsh.

Furthermore, the British media have been overrating Mctominay all year but no ones said anything about it, so if they want to empower one of their own let them.

Agreed. Hopefully Tosin goes on to forge a good career for himself wherever it takes him, which I think he will.

I think I saw something on the daily fail that said Henderson is signing a new 3 year deal with us, with him being loaned to a championship club next season.

Edit: just saw it was already posted in the Henderson thread! My bad.
