Looking at Will Keane's latest Instagram post looks like he would still be here on pre-season.
My interview with Kacper Chorazka, 17-year-old Polish goalkeeper from Wisla Krakow (Poland) who was on a trial at United.

That would be a surprise if it happens although I do hope he does stay. Right now you could argue there's space for him but when/if another striker comes then I just wouldn't see the point of him staying, even though he's still good enough to make it in my opinion.
United U11s is playing in the Murapol Cup in Poland. This was the stream: (there'll be another later when they played Dynamo Kiev in the quarter final)
They won this tournament after beating Heerenveen 3-1 on penalty (2-2 after FT).
Wow. That's a fantastic achievement. Some top teams I'm looking at.Our number 10 Kobbie Mainoo won Player of the Tournament.

How old is he? Looked physically advanced to the rest.
11.All of our team are born in 2005 I think but 7 of them are U10s (born in Sep 2005 or after).
Who was the number 3 in the bvb game? He looked good as well. It also seems like we have some good attacking talents coming thru. I heard that Shola and Iqbal are good as well?
Number 3 is called Hamzai Balogun.Shola and Iqbal are one year and two years older than this group, respectively.Shola is very highly rated, he played two years above his age group in a tournament in Italy last month.Iqbal is very good technically but a bit weak.
You can see both of them on this video: (Iqbal number 10,Shola number 7)

Not bothered about that at all.
I was going to ask you about him. With all the buzz around Greenwood in that age group I was wondering what happened to him. Good to hear he is still well thought of. He looked very good at the milk cup.Yeah just trying to say that expecting him to be a quite late developer compared to some of other rated names in the academy.Same with Haygarth to a lesser extent probably.
That is a lovely interview mate.My interview with Kacper Chorazka, 17-year-old Polish goalkeeper from Wisla Krakow (Poland) who was on a trial at United.

I'm not sure what happened at Marveld this year but he only started the last game where he scored 2 whereby the likes of Elanga,Mambuene,Smethurst,Peplow who are all 2002 born like him played almost every game (Greenwood didn't start the last 3-4 games for some reasons).Don't know why but we always look a bit of a mess in that competition.
Was really disappointed seeing the result at Marveld this year. Those 4 the highest rated from that age group other than greenwood? Mambuene and elanga look good. Where's Galbraith, group above?
Yeah not sure about Peplow but it seems to be a quite strong group, heard good things about some other players as well such as Djalo,Max Thompson,...Galbraith is one year older (U15s) same age group with Levitt,Laird,Garner,etc...
Originally Greenwood is from Bradford, Elanga is Swedish, Levitt is Welsh. I assume all the others are at least within the FA travel time limits that clubs have to obey for pre scholars on their books (1.5 hours to Carrington I think Khoazany?).Wicked, sounds like we've got some good talent coming thru. Are most of those boys local? Cos I know butt said he wanted to improve recruitment at u18 and below. Has anything changed in that regard?

Look like we're winning back the Irish market after City had their hands on most of the best Irish talents in the last few years.Seems there has been some improvements on the quality of the Irish/NI lads coming through which might benefit us.
For those lads mentioned above only Elanga,Djalo came in 2014 I believe (both foreigners but probably had their family moved to England) and Gaibraith last year. The rest has been with us since a very young age.Good that I haven't heard much about any lad taken by City this year though, except for some U7s.

Well lads, I'm new on here but have been following for a long time. Just wondering if anyone could give me an update on some of the following issues that I'm sure some of the youth academy advocates down in the newbie forums have been wanting to find out from those in the know (apologies if these have been already answered):
1) Someone who has links with the club a while a go mentioned that Josh Doughty was being kept on at the club as a player in his position was expected to leave for a new club soon. Was this player Gribbin? I read that Tyrell Warren is leaving recently but obviously isn't a winger/striker.
2) Any confirmation yet of the signing of the Irish lad O'Connor and Burkhart? O'Connor is considered a pretty big talent here and has gone under the radar a bit here with news of Chong's signing (illustrious stuff for the academy!) If anyone could give a mention of any of the other players who will be joining us at u18 level next year that would be fantastic.
3) Does anyone with links to the academy (be they parents or fans) know how the new coaches and staff in the academy are getting on so far? Has there been much of a shake up to the way things are done, noticeable difference in training method, increased recruitment, improved facilities etc..
Thanks for that. Looks like we're getting them from different areas which is good. Is levitt not English born and just plays for Wales then?
All I can talk about is the recruitment side since the other things haven't really come into play yet because the underage players aren't back in training until the end of this month/start of July. Recruitment at the underage level this summer will be higher than other years with a number of deals agreed at u16 level and below
It'll be the u21s or well u23s as it is being changed to.So will our U-18's be playing in the Football League trophy from the coming season? I just read a Guardian article mentioning that 16 Class A academies will be participating in the tournament?
Great news for the younger players as they get a chance to play against professional teams but I hope it's the U-21's rather than the U-18's playing though
Oh good.. because the article academies and I was worried about that for a bitIt'll be the u21s or well u23s as it is being changed to.
He's been over on trial 3 times but we didn't offer him a deal or anything since he's still only 15. City offering a deal for him to join in 2 years time but nothing to say he'll develop over those 2 years or if they'll even be able to get him a work permit at 18

He did well in the u15 South American Championships earlier this year and seems to be fairly highly rated. I suppose he can sign a pre-contract like Fabio and Rafael did with us and Traore did with Chelsea but wouldn't be able to play until 18Was he highly rated at all? From what I read, he made it seem as if he was signing immediately? Which just seemed impossible.
