I won't pretend to know who that is but seems like a normal name so how did his son end up with an exotic name like Mexes Silva ?

His surname is Tyler-Earnshaw so presume Mexes is a middle name that he just goes by

Earnshaw's ex, Silva's mom is Tiffany Tyler. Not sure if she has Portuguese roots or something.

Linked with Aussie born James Overy.

And they are also in the running for Aussie right-back James Overy, 16, ahead of rivals Everton and West Ham.

Overy left Perth Glory when his family returned to England to live in Devon and is currently with Newton Abbot Spurs.

But the Aussie has been to train with United and given the VIP treatment with accommodation in Hotel Football, right beside Old Trafford.
Hammers also invited Overy for talks after they saw him in a pre- season friendly last year while Everton also plan a move.

nixon says we’ve won the race for him

If he does sign he must be the first player to have played at Step 6 & for United? Certainly would be the first to do so prior to joining United.

Step 6 to Manchester United is about the biggest step up you could possibly make (I know he was playing at a good level in Australia).

Yeah I think he just wanted a local team to play for before making a decision on where to sign.

That’ll be the same lads that did well at the MiC. Looks like a standout group. The teenage brain and body changes so much though, it’s impossible to make any predictions at this level

The youngest Ibragimov scored 12 and assisted 5 goals. He scored in every game.

Ruben Curley has been named United's 'Scholar of the Year'. The award takes performances both on & off the pitch into account.

Fair play to the parents & those kids.
Is it generally impacting the likes of Chelsea & City because of lack of progression or we're seeing that across the board?

I think this is more referring to players of smaller clubs. Brexit has increased the competition for British talent tenfold and the big clubs are now all battling for them at younger ages.

They can offer these kids & their parents enormous financial packages that are just too good to turn down.

I predicted something like this a few years ago, probably the only prediction I’ve ever made that’s actually happened.

The first two players he mentioned are from Chelsea and Spurs!

McAidoo is an U16, the original tweet mentioned U14s.

While with Day, who is an U14, good chance he ends up going to a Chelsea, City, Liverpool, etc.

Hopefully at United.

Unless the club allows the players to terminate their contract without compensation, then I’m pretty sure they would not be able to sign at another club unless the purchasing club pays up? If this were not the case the Cat2/3 clubs would regularly lose players to us, City, Liverpool etc for no fee.

Some rumours on twitter that Max Mallem has left the club and is on his way to Man City. Less than a year after signing for us.

From Arsenal to Chelsea, then United and now Man City.

If it’s true, I’m not sure he’s got the right people advising him.

It is very reminiscent of Zak Brunt all before turning 17 he was at Sheffield Utd, Aston Villa, Man City, Man Utd, had trials with Atletico Madrid, Villareal and Real Madrid, went to Derby, Matlock Town (due to Derby being able to demand a fee) and then back to Sheffield Utd. Now playing for Barnet.

The academy Mallem was apart of seem to offer their talent here there and everywhere. Their socials openly sharing a post about top clubs being after former players already playing at a Premier League Cat 1 academy.

I wouldn't be so sure that they are automatically heading to PL academies. Parents and players are finally copping on that being at a club that offers you a pathway to first team football and that they won't reject decent money for you to move on (ala Bellingham at Birmingham) gives you a much higher chance of making it as a player.

Conspiracy theory but there's a gentleman's agreement between City & Chelsea not to poach eachother's players. I wonder if City and the family have been sneaky here and basically sent him to us and then left at the first possible opportunity, so he's not being signed directly from Chelsea.

Like I said, a bit conspiratorial, but you never know with City.

Wouldn’t put it past them. Regardless it’s not a good look on how the people behind the kid operate. Not the first one and won’t be the last one, but the grass is not always greener etc.

I watched this kid playing in a youth tournament against Madrid, looked a good talent but it's crazy the people behind him are moving him from one club to another, I fear for the boy if it doesn't work out.

Never thought I would see "gentleman", "City" and "Chelsea" in the same sentence
