Gaming Minecraft | New caf 1.18 SMP server SIGN UP?

Whenever I try joining I fall into a missing chunk and then get the error 'Connection was aborted by the software in your host machine' but it's allowed by my Firewall and I can join other servers. Strange.
 
Can people please not touch the chicken cooker, vim logged on and found this:

The server is back and this time it's going public with the following plug-ins:
- Lockette
- CoreProtect
- Essentials
- McMMO
- Dynmap

With possible additions of:
- Iconomy
- Chestshop
- Towny


It isn't officially opening for up to a week or two yet, but members here are welcome to be whitelisted and play already. The majority of it all is set up already and online. It's also now got a name: 'The Royal Oak'. Post here for a whitelist add.

Sweet! 116 whitelisted players in total, peak times can reach up to 20 people online, average about 6-10, except for like at 11am-4pm UK time when everyones timezone seems to mean that not many people are on.
 
I decided to give this a 2nd try, can anyone point me in the right direction :

1. Which official vanilla minecraft should i download?
2. Any other important mods I should have?

I prefer to play offline for now, but wouldn't mind paying $1-$2 if necessary for an official server gameplay.
 
Getting back into Single Player mode on this, would appreciate recommended mods for single player? Cheers.
 
Ive been feeling like getting back into Minecraft. Anyone up for starting up another server or something?
 
I've been playing so much modded minecraft right now, i'd probably be lost if i went back to vanilla.

It's basically lego in a unlimited world with varied geographical biomes, but also with a survival element that means you have to work to get your resources to be able to build with. At night time for example aggressive mobs will spawn and try to kill you. Include exploration, electricity style 'redstone' tools to use and it seems like a lot more and it's a very fun game.

Jesus Christ it's so long ago that I first tried the alpha of this, almost 4 years. Also, how wrong was I with the "nobody is really interested"?

Well that lasted for 2 days. All of a sudden when i'm scanning for his LAN world nothing will come up. It just continues scanning. :mad:
