Michael Oliver

BT must have a mandate to back the ref in these things. They never say they're wrong unless its blatantly obvious.

It was clearly the arm, silly of Rashford to give the Oliver a chance to give it.

That said, the rule is dumb, there are plenty of players between the ball and the goal, the ball is in the corner of the box, a penalty is so much better for the attacking team than having the ball in that position.
Wish they could give indirect freekick or something instead of a pen.

Can anybody watching explain how gunnarrsson is not on a yellow

Well, clearly saw the replay at halftime and decided to even things up. No way is that a penalty either.

He's just a shit, weak ref. Ours wasn't a pen either.

Lingard penalty was definitely a penalty. We are just so used to not getting them that it feels weird. Only way you can conclude Lingard situation is not a penalty is if you say his touch was going out of play anyways, sort of like someone that gets tackled and plays the ball out of play before they get the impact. But I don't think that was the case either. Clear penalty. Rashford didn't touch it with his arm, not penalty.

He's regularly slagged off for his refereeing, and rightfully so because it's shite, but he doesn't get enough grief for his face, which is easily the most hittable thing I've ever seen.

I’ve been saying the same thing to all my mates tonight, he has the most punchable face I’ve seen, genuinely makes me want to smash him.

He's probably the only ref I can understand people hating. Such a blatant tosser.

Such a great example of a little cnut who loves having authority over others.

I’d love to stamp on his head.

Gets every big decision wrong. VAR will hopefully be the end of refs like him and Atkinson.

I've only watched about 5 minutes of this match during which a penalty was given to Liverpool for a 'foul' on Lovren and I still cannot figure out what foul it was.

This. Looks like a teacher who still lives with his parents at the age of 40 and spends holidays walking in the mountains with a pedometer on.

Most insanely one sided performance from a ref I've seen in quite a while that
