Music Michael Jackson is Dead (All general comment)

He was on BBC last night and on 5Live this morning.

As the news was breaking last night, he said he has been trying to contact Jackos parent. Like there going to want to here from that nut job.

This morning on 5live he was saying how he hypnotized Jacko and “unethically” and asked him if he had ever touched kids and why he paid of Jordi Chandler. Jacko, from his hypnotized state, Jacko said he had never touched kids and only paid of Jordi Chandler because “he was scared”.

Suppose thats proof then!!!

Proof that Michael Jackson didn't even know what was inappropriate maybe?

Or a friend who is basically lying through his teeth in an attempt to clear MJ's name once and for all?

I have to say, if I'm honest, that is death has not affected me in the slightest.

I grew up on some of his music, and it is clear to everyone that he was very talented, but at the age where his music stopped having such an influence on me, was around the times where the 'other' stories came around, and that definitely tainted the memories I had of him.

I can see why people are upset, or taken back by the news, because he was probably the most well known world-wide icon most of us have ever seen. But, I don't see how that exactly excuses his deeper issues, and whether we know the truth or not about the kids etc, he was obviously a very strange man.

He lost a lot of glamour, became not so nice to look at, and for those saying he was victimised purely because of his fame, I'm sorry, but once you reach a certain point in famedom, you don't suddenly start molesting kids. There had to be a grain of truth in it, but it's definitely not the thing we first have to focus on now that he is dead. That said, he did help a lot of people with his music, and even if some of his other actions were more debatable than others, at least we have reached the point where we can now focus on perhaps his 'better' side.

My thoughts about it, and if the post offended anyone, bear it mind I just wanted to express my opinion, and I wasn't targetting anyone or talking about anyone in particular.

I think you're pretty much spot on, to be fair. And I must admit, I thought I would've felt as apathetic - but for some reason the news shocked me and I was a tad sad. Which is strange considering all the controversy that surrounded him - to put it mildly. However he was a huge icon. Perhaps the biggest. I'm sure people in small villages in South America, Asia and Africa have heard of Michael Jackson. The man transended music and entertainment and was more than just a music icon - He was a cultural icon. So, I can understand why people are gutted to hear the news - yet I'm a tad annoyed that I felt a bit sad mainly because he may have been a paedophile. And that irks me. But he was a brilliant entertainer and I loved his earlier stuff.

I've heard some sort of allegric reaction was to blame, traces of 6 year old nuts were found in his mouth.

Oi tards, something has just dawned upon me.

This is the greatest musical death since Elvis. Soon the Beatles will be no more, we are witnessing the end of the last great phenomenon.

WHo have we left ?

Feckin Madonna, girls Aloud & Beyoncé ?!?!?!?

I may turn Emo.

Someone posted it before, Stevie Wonder.

Nah. I think this is bigger, simply for the world wide reach. I had a look this morning, and he had made the front cover of almost every major over-seas newspaper. He was probably the most famous entertainer in the world.

I think he's more famous than Lennon ever was.

And Stevie Wonder's a good shout. I'm still gutted about Jermaine Stewart RIP.

We don't have to take our clothes off (oh no!)
to have a good time, (oh yeah)

Clapton is still with us. I'd consider him a legend.

Neil Young

Springsteen to a lesser extent.

He'll probably come back.
