Taking Elneny over Ozil
.He offers nothing in half the phase of the game, he's only useful when you're on top and have the ball. He's a luxury player, well suited for teams like Bayern or a Real, who play inferior opponents in their leagues all too often, teams who've given up by half time, but in the PL half the battle is imposing yourself physically on the other team and over 90mins.
He doesn't offer anything in that regard, in my opinion, to be allowed to contribute so little teamwork wise/defensively, the player in question needs to be something very special in the final 1/3rd, having seen Ozils 4-5 years at Arsenal, he hasn't been consistently good enough to warrant that type of special treatment.
Half the reason our 99 and 08 teams were so successful was because we defended from the front, Tevez & Rooney up top comes straight to mind.
Imagine going away to West Brom, we're 1-0 up with 15mins to play, the teams dug in and resolute but having to watch Ozil trundle around looking disinterested, letting play go on around him would irritate me from the get go.
I just don't like players like that.

I dont like Ozil but think hes a better number 10 than anything we have at the club right now. If we got him, Sanchez and Griezmann in the summer that would be a impressive 3 behind Lukaku. With the likes of Miki, Rashford and Martial in the wings.

I know the point you're trying to make but you've lost all credibility with the 200M part.

Except replace Ozil with Mhki/Mata. Both Mhki and Mata are heads and shoulders above Ozil. Ozil is a garbage. If he couldn't hack it at Arsenal, he can't hack at MU.
Really depends on his attitude - if he is desperate to reunite with Mourinho and freshly motivated then he's definitely worth the risk...he's obviously has gone a bit stale (as with Arsenal in general) but I think JM could get the best out of him and it would be a good move for him - he'll always have bad games and can be frustrating at times but he's a great talent that could win us a lot points in tight games.
If he isn't that keen and has to be persuaded with huge wages, guarantees of starting etc then absolutely no way.

Have no problem with his work-rate, however i do have a problem with his lack of a goal threat. The worlds best player is the laziest player i've ever seen. Just design your team to compensate for him.

People seem to forget the number of assists he had in 2015/16. He was world class that season, it was not too long ago. It won't happen but he would be the perfect player to get Rashford to 30 or 40 goals per season. I doubt he will sign a new contract at Arsenal.

I'd replace Mata with Ozil. If he turns back to his RM form great, if not Arsenal-Ozil isn't too far off Man Utd-Mata (who's never hit the heights of Chelsea-Mata). If it didn't happen, who cares.
Assuming Griezmann keeps working hard without Simeone yelling at him, he fits. I honestly can't think of a 2nd name really that likely does, really. Suarez would, but he's not a 10 and we're not signing him. Pulisic looks like he has the potential to tick all those boxes, but needs more time. I guess Alexis Sanchez would too.
I'd love another big name but I do think we're often used as a pawn in negotiations, I feel Griezman will get a lot of offers and I'm always skeptical about the Spanish based players wanting to live in Manchester.
I genuinely think this front 4 has decent potential. Mata covers all positions, especially the 10 and Lingard is backup for the wide men.

I think he'll settle fairly quickly, he is stonger and have a good stamina. His body is solid as someone like aguero.

You may be right. We have to sell someone if we're getting Özil and Griez and I don't really want to see someone like Mata leave the club. Then again Özil is an upgrade on Mata.
