You haven't a bit of evidence for any of these claims. You keep saying Ozil is linked with no one which isn't true. You said Sanchez has signed for City which isn't true. Ozil is quite comfortably outplaying Sanchez this season - Doesn't do enough? He's on pace to set the record for chances created in a season. You're talking out of your arse.
Arsenal want him to sign a new contract. He has been heavily linked with Barca. He has been heavily linked with us. Our manager is on record calling him the best number 10 in the world. And you state that no one in Europe wants him because he hasn't done anything. Bizarre.
There's a video doing the rounds on twitter ( I can't post it on here, I'm a newbie ), There's a guy that does work for Adidas, He said Ozil's joining us and there's going to be an Adidas campaign as well.
This is how I see it. We need someone to feed our forwards and take some of that pressure of Pogba. We have plenty of finishing ability with Lukaku, Martial, Rashford and Zlatan.
Ozil is a better fit, should take less time to settle and he's free. The £80m would be better spent on another couple of players this summer.

The thing is it's not like Ozil himself was slowing down. It's Arsenal other forwards/the team as a whole could not cope with pressure & higher expectation (familiar?) with Sanchez had less goals than previous season (playing less game/minutes). The problem as we'd discuss to death in other Arsenal threads is that the higher up & Wenger don't try to push all the way. They expect couple star players (Ozil is not the type of carrier but enhancer) to carry the whole team. They until this summer, refused to spend big on proven forwards,but rather taking punts.
So after 14/15, what did they do to improve the forward line? They signed Welbeck and PR as if they found Henry mk II. In 14/15 even when Ozil stopped registering in assists, he didn't stop chance creating. Same with this season, worse games. He maybe a bottler, but total slacker who refuses to do his job is a total sugar coated myth created by Arsenal to deflect from their big &a real issue in team building.

Surely you have to be kidding, Wenger cannot be trusted. When he says he's confident it probably means he wishes that Ozil will sign. He didn't talk about a contract for some of those players because they were still under decently long contracts. He is talking about a contract because Ozil can leave on a free.

RVP left with 1 year left on his contract, Ozil is in his final year already. So a talk of signing wouldnt fit with RVP

Yeah it's absolutely mental. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's got the most chances created as well since his trade. Asking him to do more than that would be to ask him to win the PL single handedly, which we all know is impossible as he happens to play for Arsenal.
He plays for Arsenal, a lot of people watch Arsenal player week in and week out.
will be upgarde on mata ..he lacks physicality but his vision and his passes are definitely top notch ..can he play for us in CL if we sign or still cup bound having played in Europa ?
I listen to quite a few Arsenal podcasts; and all of them have said that Ozil has been stalling on a contract for a while.
He is the perfect stop gap signing for us now...Ditch Mickhy and put this guy into the team...we will get 2-3 years maximum from him and by that time I'm expecting Gomes to be on the scenes...

Would be a huge statement for Arsenal if they could keep him. Any forward in the world would enjoy playing alongside him.
They should offload Sanchez ASAP. He's not even doing enough to get in their team right now for me. They should have got that situation sorted in the summer and brought in a replacement. Horrendously managed club.

I think it’s the same 10 people in this thread who keep pushing for this signing then all agreeing about how great he is. Everyone else stays away because if you disagree you get bombarded by Özil fanboys.
