Get him. He can't be worse than Micki and Mata.
Please no. I'm absolutely tired of seeing lethargic No. 10s and wide players like Mata, he literally will just be another pointless option for us. Get someone that actually run with the ball please.
Lads, have you seen him when the chips are down? If Mhki and Mata are having a tough time, Ozil will be slaughtered.

How can anybody so no to Ozil when we have Lingard and Mkhitaryan as our #10 options.
Mourinho knows how to get the best out of him and stop him from sulking though. If you have read his book he basically talks about situations in which Jose has had a go at him when he sulked and he went on to have a fantastic game.
That was at Real though surrounded by good players, he'd be terrible with our current attacking options. The Ozil of around 2012 also seems to have disappeared, we'd be getting the Arsenal-ised version.
Maybe I'm a sucker for a resurrection story but I honestly think Jose could get 2-3 good years out of him. I think it has to be Jose as the manager though as he is the type of person that reacts better to be challenged.
It's got to that stage hasn't it.Get him. He can't be worse than Micki and Mata.
This cnut would fit right in at the moment.
I would rather we go for Goretzka tbh he would be on a free as well and his attitude is much better suited to the PL than Özil's.
is the one that has actually played and succeeded in the EPL.Özil
is the one that has actually played and succeeded in the EPL.
Played in the EPL? Sure, we can all agree to that, unless you just waked up from a five-year hypersleep.Has he?
Well, dont let that blind you from the fact he's had his moments, scored, created, assisted and won some trophies too while being generally, Arsenal's best player since he joined.Has he? Must have missed that. So far his stint at the arse seems really unremarkable to me and more littered with him chasing women, being regularly out of form and throwing a hissyfit at not getting payed enough.
Every transfer is a gamble. On Ozil's case, forget the wages and sign on fees, its a gamble we can afford to take, we need him, and for free? Its a no brainer. Goretzka has been at Schalke since 2013 and just came to prominence last season. I understand why you might want him, but doing that at the expense of deriding Ozil, doesn't seem very wise. And yes I'd rather gamble on Goretzka on a free than Özil on a free who will still cost a us a small fortune in wages and signing on fees.
Well, the huddersfield game showed it was the opposite. Lingard screwed up a lot of final passes; Valencia got into decent crossing positions but he didn't cross, because he isn't a very good crosser. Our players are very poor against teams that play defensive and only Pogba and Mkhi has the ability to pass between the lines but Mkhi can't keep the ball in tight spaces. Overall its more a case of players not been good at some particular things rather than attitude. Adding players for their attitude over their talent doesn't seem like the right thing to do right now. We have a lot of average players in the team.I was all for this signing. But now I think I'd rather go for a less talented player with a better mentality. The squad lacks attitude more than it does ability.

That's in Mourinho's own words. There's no way he will deride or question the ability of his players, its always going to be their attitude. The Huddersfield game showed the exact opposite in Mourinho's own words.
Herrera said the same thing. That's in Mourinho's own words. There's no way he will deride or question the ability of his players, its always going to be their attitude.
Fair enough, but you can say the same for Herrera. There's no way he criticizes his and his teammates abilities. For me, it was defensive errors that cost us the game. If we didn't make those errors, they wouldn't have played as defensive as they did, meaning we would have won the game. IMO, I don't think its all about attitude, its obvious we are not very good at breaking down defensive teams.Herrera said the same thing.
We have better players than Huddersfield. The level of ability was definitely good enough for that game.
Ozil sees what others wouldn't see and picks them out like nobody could.
Imagine him feeding Rashford, Martial and Lukaku?
