For one thing our set piece deliveries would be settled once and for all with him coming in and with the height in our squad that'd be lethal weapon
For another, ozil and zlatan coming in the second half of the season will make us that much threatening and close the gap on city's attacking talents. With our better defence and GK that may just give us the edge in the title race if it clicks and the potential is there for it to do so as they are 2 players mourinho has worked with previously and you just have to look at matic to trust Jose to pull it off
Finally it gives us attacking strength in depth to compete on all fronts and that is what I'm more excited about, needless to say but I'm all in on this transfer and how can it hurt when we have backups in his position if things go south
Ozil FTW!
He was a great signing for Real Madrid in like 2010. They only paid about 10 mil. for him too.
I reckon if Mkhitaryan was playing for Arsenal 52% would want him as well. Former Bundesliga of the year, he's cheap: a no brainer really.
lolMark Lawrenson
Jose Mourinho once said to me, when sometimes he would turn his back in training with Real Madrid he could always tell when Ozil struck the ball.
It made a different sound.
With the wages and signing on fee he'd be wanting he definitely wouldn't be "on a free".
He'll cost £70m+ over a 4 year deal by which time he'll be 33 and even slower and lazier than he is now.
If I were giving an Arsenal player that kind of sum over the next 4 years it's a no brainer to go for Sanchez.
It would mean either Mkhit or Mata leaving for me because im sick of seeing a #10 type playmaker on the right wing and we cant have 3 players all fighting to play behind the striker (take into account also Zlatan who once fit will be fighting for a similar spot)
Don't want him, we have Mikhi, Mata already. Better take Sanchez instead.
How much do you wager that Micky's performances in recent weeks have been a tactical instruction from Jose so we fans will be eager for ozil's arrival rather than having a mutiny.
Jose, always been a master at mind games.. the evil genius
I'd wager zero at that. That's a stupid suggestion.
I don't really see the comparison. Most of the arguments surrounding Matic were more about aesthetics than doubting his ability to perform a function in the team.I think players are capable of rediscovering their prime if they want to play for a manager they like. Matic was an example where many on here thought was underwhelming last year but turns out to be a rolls royce. I think Mesut will prove to be the same. He's a fantastic player on form.

Yes, players can switch from the CL to Europa League and vice versa in a season without being cup-tied.
Ozil is better than both mkhi and mata.
I genuinely miss Robbie Earle and TownsendNot for me Clive
