Just brushed up on you tube, and am now convinced we should buy him.must say he seems good value for 12million though.

If the prices quoted and the stuff about Fergie meeting Bremen are true, I find it weird that United are still trying to force down the price, surely £12m is good value enough?

Try convincing that to this guy

Because maybe we are the only side in for him so can play hard ball. It's called negotiation. Go in low then meet somewhere in the middle.

I don't want him anymore, Chicharito will lead us to glory

Fergie asked whether Ozil interests him and he said he interests a lot of clubs but we're happy happy with who we have. Said he was just watching Fulham yesterday due to playing them in 2 weeks and new manager.

Fergie shrugged it off, cocks in lads. =[

SAF has just said point blank he was at Fulham to watch Fulham and when asked if Ozil interests him he said he trusts the players he already has.

Fergie asked about Oezil: He was at Fulham to check out thFulham. He's happy to stick with what he's got.

But of course this will be read as a smokescreen by the muppets.

It doesn't matter what he said there. It'd be stupid to publicly say if he was interested, it'd probably bump up the price and make City want him.

(I'm not saying he is, by the way)

Fergie said what is expected of any sensible manager regarding potential transfer targets, never make any public comments.

Sky pundits are convinced Ozil would be a really good signing for us.

So does just about everyone other than SAF.

Thing is, I'd trust SAFs opinion more than everyone else!

If he isn't interested why didn't he just say no? Why go on to say "he interests a lot of clubs"?

We're defo looking at buying him, whether we will is a different matter!

It doesn't really change anything with what he said there, of course he wont come out and say publicly he is interested.

Fergie said he's 'definitely going to stick with the young players' and spoke of people not understanding the extent of their quality...

The muppet slayer did it again....

Well there is this of Twitter DTguardian - Sir Alex Ferguson press conf. Repeatedly dodging questions about Ozil. Not once knocked down the story. Interesting . . #MUFC

 when will people ever stop taking Fergies word for it when he is asked about specific players in an interview? He learned his lesson years ago when he admitted on ITV when doing his punditry bit that he was interested in buying Alan Shearer..and who was sitting right next to him? Kevin Keegan and the rest was history!

The fact he didnt flat out deny he wasnt interested in Ozil leaves room for speculation IMO

Oliver Kay (Times) on Twitter

Alex Ferguson on Mesut Özil: "There's a lot of clubs interested in Özil." Does that include you? "I didn't say that."

Hmmm

I guess SAF never saw Fulham's manager in action and he has absolutely no idea of how he works. What's his name again?

Im not saying that SAF will be getting Ozil. What Im saying is that he went at Fulham for a reason. Now there are many reasons which would justify why SAF went there some of which aren't strictly related to Ozil. It could be that he was checking about another player or simply it could be that Hughes invited him in. Yet I can't believe that he went there just to see Hughes manage.

gera

But seriously there is clearly an interest from, whether we sign him is an entirely different source. Lots of noises coming out about us being in negotiations and Fergie not once denying anything in his press conference today. Nothing might come out of it but I think we're interested.

He didn't go there just to "see Hughes manage"

He went there to see Hughes manage Fulham.

There is a difference, you know.

If people want to hope in vain or not, let them  Someone posted something about Bremen having a game in Europe sometime this week, so all the expectations would probably die after that match as I doubt Fergie will want him to be cup tied if he's going to buy him for this season.

If we're not interested why not just say no? Kills any speculation there and then! I bet if he was asked about Drogba, he would have soon said no!

Of course none of us know but then why else have this "transfer" forum?

If Fergie was really interested then surely he would've watched him play rather than scooting off at the half time. That is unless he was checking out Danny Murphy.

A manager tends to manage his side according to his character and his beliefs. If Bigon lead United then rest assured that no matter how many attacking minded players we would have, the team would still be defensive minded. If SAF leads Fulham than it would still be an attacking side. Another interesting fact is that friendlies are somehow different to the real game. Take the Philadelphia Union or the Kansas wizards game. Do you think that United will be playing in that way against real opponents?
