Can't you just leave a comment on there under the name 'admin'? Leave one saying 'the deal's off, United going for Robbie Fowler instead'

So were not buying him, but some are still flicking beans in hope? Good days summary..

I have Ozil’s exact location on GPS and will not allow this nonsense to stand without raising my voice against it.
I would quote Pascal to support my case, but I won’t — it would be lost on all you uncultured fools.

He himself has said that he dreams of playing in Spain, over and over again.
I'm not too sure though whether he will get games at Real, let alone Barcelona, Lailiani.

It's one thing having a dream to play for a top club in Spain, however, looking at his competition, he'd be silly to move to either team.

Still 1/5 with skybet to come here strangely enough

Yeah but i reckon what happened was there was a huge influx of money in for Ozil heading to OT that the bookies changed their odds then more money was tabled as we were "favourites" and the odds started to reflect this - i could be wrong and betting doesnt work like this but i only saw these odds with skybet the others had us 5/1 or something

Betting odds mean nothing, this minute i could easily go and put 15 grand on Andres Iniesta joining Manchester United and the odds for the deal would obviously come tumbling down, doesn’t mean there’s an ounce of credibility to it whatsoever, its just a bunch of hopers sticking a few quid on something they hope/want to happen.

Just had a look over on the BBC forums , bunch of idiots convinced its a done deal because of that 'admin' dude on that Busby website, i bet hes laughing his tits off as we speak! Obvious wumming of the highest order.

That Laillani comment over there was genius by the way!

You are completely right, but unfortunately footballers are that silly and tend to think to high of themselves. Was it a wise move for Benzema to go to Real that early in his career? No. He did it nevertheless and it cost him a spot in the WC squad.

Who's insulting me behind my back? Link please. :D

Premier League giants prepare bid for German ace
Mesut Ozil could be on the verge of a move to Manchester United

Manchester United are putting together a package for Werder Bremen midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to reports in the German press.

Newspaper Kicker believes that United are close to being able to make a formal bid for the German ace – and it could be as soon as by the end of the week.

Ozil impressed at the World Cup and has attracted the attention of some of the top clubs around Europe including United, Chelsea and Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old has insisted he is happy to stay with his Bundesliga club for the time being though.

However, his contract only runs for one more year and Werder want to cash in now rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.

And they are willing to accept as little as £12 million for the playmaker, a value Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to meet.

United chief executive David Gill has recently insisted Ferguson has as much money to spend as he needs and the Scot is likely to hold Gill to that.

I think I might start a football news website.
It must be easy luring people in with false transfer rumours.

Exactly. I could even quote some obscure Danish sources. It'd be awesome.

Expecting this kicker article to snowball into the back page of every newspaper tomorrow. Fergie creating the perfect smoke screen to announce O'shea's contract extension tomorrow.

The problem is that such an article doesn't seem to exist. It's nowhere to be found online - even if it's not published officially online, by now somebody would have quoted it in one of the Werder forums. I'm going to buy it tomorrow but I absolutely doubt that this article exists.

Its also quoted on the United website.
