They bring this up about every target. Yes, you can also find profiles for Kaka, Ribery, Ronaldo, Messi and even Heskey if you look hard enough.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if Wenger got him.
Replacement for Fabregas, Cheap and Young. Reminds me a bit of the Arshavin saga albit a bit younger...
According to Honigstein, Özil's camp is no longer interested in a move this season because they think time is too short considering the upcoming CL qualifier game.
Makes sense.
Ozil explanation from manutd.com's @stevebartram1: It's a technical glitch.Every opponent or player linked in transfer spec gets a player ID
Why? I don't understand this. How hard can it be to create a profile once the player has signed, rather than deal with this kind of speculation?
I'm not saying he's lying, I just don't get it. If Ozil had joined, we'd know about it. If he was on the verge, I can't imagine the first thing Fergie/Gill do is tell manutd.com to have something ready on the profile pages.
I realise their is antipathy towards the MEN here, but this just came up on NewsNow.

My professional guess would be; every player who is (in some specific way) 'featured' on ManUtd.com is automatically given an ID in the database - this would allow them to do all kinds of things moving forward such as cross-linking throughout the site, create player profiles etc.
I imagine that whoever submitted said article made a mistake and accidently created the profile. Easily done I assume, considering it's happened at least once before
As far as I understand, none of the possible deals for Özil has sufficiently advanced to beat next week's deadline.
Why are people looking up Ozil on Utd's db in the first place?
Honigs Latest 'The only deal that could realistically still happen would be with a Spanish club, who had one €12m offer turned down. And it's not Barca.'
From honigstein's twitter
I think people need to stop hanging on to his every word.

What deadline?

Madrid looking for a quick fix to their Kaka problem.
Cheap young star, fill a gap and sell some shirts before getting discarded and ending up in Serie A or Germany a year or two later.
Seen it all before. I have no idea why any young player with serious potential would choose to go there.
I reckon it might be Valencia, if what Honigstein says is true. They are in serious need of some new players.
Isnt Valencia more of a selling club to pay for their massive debts?
Not to mention that if they were so inclined they could sell him on for a likely colossal profit.
Biggest Question....
Does Fergie want Ozil?
There is little indication that he does want him.

Champions League fo Bremen next week.
Apart from going to see him play on Saturday instead of attending the open training session at United. was said on twitter yesterday by one of the football writers - daniel Taylor I think - that it was confirmed to him by a senior figure at United that Fergie went to see Ozil, not to scout the fulham side - which is a job he has people for and scouting an opponent in a pre-season friendly is a bit stupid too.
Surely they just wont play him?
Though he only saw him for 7 mins.
