What happened is pretty clear to anyone without a heavy bias, since Rio's statements matched reports from various papers. He was going to City before he got calls/messages from Rio and SAF (and maybe others) telling him he couldn't do that.

Tormented? He’s beat United in 3 ties in his entire career, the feck is tormented by that? We won one of our only 3 CL’s beating his side in a semi and we were then utterly outclassed in two finals by an outrageously good Barca side.

I’m enjoying your overuse of the green one by the way, the exact thing you aint doing now since Messi fecked you right off. Although saying that, you’re probably a new found PSG fan I’d imagine?

You have zero room to talk, no meaningful trophies in 7 years. And yes, as far as CL is concerned no player has tormented United as much as Messi. Loved our time with him, but he’s moved on. Doesn’t take away from the amazing things he’s done in the past.

I mean it too, I’ve been banging the drum that Barça is a super club with or without Messi, hell the Ronaldinho Eto’o team pre-Messi was one of my favourites ever.
I fully expect Barça to have a good season despite the ridiculous claims of “they will struggle for top 4 without Messi” and I desperately hope you win La Liga to show that you can be shrewd and still successful.

TBH I don't give these kind of polls a lot credibility, whether it's in favour of Messi or Ronaldo. Whichever one has a higher fanbase voting is going to win. I'm more interested in what prolific players, managers and pundits think, but even so some of the greatest players(Like Pelé and Maradonna) can have a terrible jugdement. Same goes for some pundits and managers.

So you are asking someone to prove a negative, which is a logical fallacy, something which people in college will learn about on how to present in a debate/discussion.

To use your example, we also do not know for sure if unicorns exist in this world. The onus to prove that it exists lie with someone who claimed it exists, not on someone who claim it did not exist. Just like in court, if you are accused of murder, you do not have to prove you did not murder, it is the accuser who has to prove you did murder. Get it?

I think I'm stating the most obvious thing but biased supporters will simply refuse to acknowledge:

The biggest difference between the 2 players being compared in this thread is their level of all round play i.e interms of dribbling, passing, vision and creativity; one is simply on another level to the other.

In addition, while both are amongst the greatest goalscorers ever, one of them regularly scores some extraordinary goals while the other does that much less frequently.

I don't even need to mention names, it's that obvious. But both are amongst the greatest ever.

The burden of proof is on those claiming what happened with certainty. My stance has always been there is no accurate story out there. They would have to show one such accurate story to debunk me..

How is it obvious ? I genuinely don't know which one you meant.

Messi scores some ridiculous dribbling goals but it's not like every goal of his especially nowadays is like that.

Ronaldo scores some of the all time best hanging headers, long range shots, bicycle kicks and freekicks. All that are arguably the all time best of each category. Almost forgot that first shot volley vs us for Juve.

Again I'm not sure who you're talking about I think personally both have incredible goals.
