Depay has looked good in the few games I have seen him. The fact that we're buying now is IMO the most important factor. If this is an indication of the future we could be going into next season ahead of the game. Excellent news.

This just underscores how important it was for Rodgers to utilize the Suarez money more strategically than he did. Had he done so, you may already have a CL place locked up and be drawing in higher calibre transfer targets.

One LVG phone call and it's job done. If that was us it'd be middle of August before we signed him and that's with no competition.

If we finish only 4th, we will need to be ahead of the game, given there will be a tough CL qualifier early on in the season!
 
Does this also mean LvG is here to stay regardless of our position at the end of the season?
 
Wow, great News. Like mentioned in the other thread I have only watched him during the WC but given the fuss he should improve our attacking line a lot.

I guess the Bale Story is over (at least for this year) - I just hope this won`t have an influence on AdM getting a starting spot. Would hate to see the man who has outperformed Messi and Ronaldo on several occassions on the bench or leaving...

Most exciting signing for a while, high hopes for this kid.

Don't know why, but the likes of ADM and Falcao just didn't have me as excited - maybe it was the lack of build up, made them feel a bit desparate as well as a bit decadent. Kind of felt a bit like City / Chelsea signings, whereas Memphis feels dead right!

Welcome aboard, hope this is the start of something special!
 
Have to give credit to Woodward as well for getting this done so quickly, the first summer under him turned out to be a disaster but credit to him, looks as if he's on a mission since.

This is so funny, Seems like we completed the deal in absolutely no time after weeks of 'United are behind Liverpool in race to sign Depay'

A Liverpool fan was trying to troll me a few days back saying how Brendon had already sealed the deal for Depay and we'd regret missing out on him! :lol::lol::lol:
