Scousers on RAWK all seem fairly depressed over their transfer activity, such low key optimism over the deal... it would be far more satisfying if they were confident.

'Manchester United have reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven & Memphis Depay for the player's transfer, subject to a medical. Pending the successful completion of the medical, the deal will go through once the transfer window opens in June' - May 7.
 
Dutch reports say the transfer fee with bonusses can reach a total of 32m Euro, the initial fee is 27,5m Euro.

Fantastic news. Glad that we are moving swiftly on targets. Hope we finish everything as quickly as possible so we can have a proper pre season with almost everyone

Excellent news. I've been certain he's coming but it's still great to see it confirmed, didn't expect it too soon.

Such a big role the manager plays in such signings. Having Van Gaal at the helm is why we got him Imo.
 
A question to those who closely follow Dutch footie: How does he compare to a young Arjen Robben?
 
This is the first signing since mata where I've gone "feck yea" all the others since have had question marks over them or have divided opinion but depay ticks every box. young, fair price, already starting 11 material and massive potential.
 
I'm so excited I have this thread open on my phone and my laptop, always thought transfer muppetness decreases with age...Apparently not.
 
Just seen the news. Seemed pretty inevitable to be honest but at least now we have some pace in our front line as well as someone who can provide real goal threat from the wider areas.

We bought Herrera and Shaw before the transfer window began, Di Maria at some point in August although he appeared to be secure around late July anyway, Rojo was signed in August too as was Blind - around the time of our first game of season for Rojo but it had taken longer than it had to because we were having some issues with third party that owned him, we took a while to sign Blind for some reason and he only joined around the final day of the transfer window. Falcao was a last day disaster.
