Woodward closes another deal ( who'd have thought that a year ago) whilst Ayre is sat with his cock in his hands
Dutch reports say the transfer fee with bonusses can reach a total of 32m Euro, the initial fee is 27,5m Euro.
Yesterday the last thing I read was that we've had made contact, today I woke up to 22 alerts
Di Maria was like August 26th or something, it only became serious late on as well. Was just unrealistic rumours before that. Rojo took forever to confirm get the work permit, but until the last week we only had Shaw and Herrera I think. We bought Herrera and Shaw before the transfer window began, Di Maria at some point in August although he appeared to be secure around late July anyway, Rojo was signed in August too as was Blind - around the time of our first game of season for Rojo but it had taken longer than it had to because we were having some issues with third party that owned him, we took a while to sign Blind for some reason and he only joined around the final day of the transfer window. Falcao was a last day disaster.
Guess you have missed Herrera being probably our best performing outfield player in the games he has played this season, or Blind being versatile and solid consistently, or Shaw's showing great promise when he hasn't been injured, or Rojo looking better every game while he adapted to the league... Even Di Maria has improved us despite not performing at all, purely because he's been pretty productive.Well done to the club on backing the manager, and fast. I'd be a lot more exited if even one of LvG's signings so far had improved our first team though.
Not to mention Nigel de JongIts all fun and games until we sign Janmat and Sneijder.
We could sign 5 or 6 players by early June and some would still spend their days hanging on every new rumourWould be hilarious if we do all our business before June 15th. The transfer forum would implode.
Credit for getting Coutinho though, at that price he's been a magnificent signing.Aye just like Alexis Sanchez....
Cl football with or without it we're bad at this transfer stuff.
Not in the same category. Not as quick, not as agile, not as good a touch, not as many ways of shooting. But Robben was absolutely sensational at that and even younger age. But he's strong and quick, industrious and can get past a defender with his first touch.A question to those who closely follow Dutch footie: How does he compare to a young Arjen Robben?
Our best window in about 4 years.Credit for getting Coutinho though, at that price he's been a magnificent signing.
Depay is an incredible talent....well chuffed that we've got him. He's got everything we've lacked this season - pace, direct and not afraid to take on a full back! Bring on more signings as soon as possible!!
I always say; Dream, Believe, Achieve. I was dreaming and believing of becoming the champions of the Eredivisie with @PSV and we achieved it. I’m extremely grateful towards PSV, all the fans, @underarmour and @segfootball for believing in me. Now it's time to set my goals again on winning trophies with @ManchesterUnited.
To be fair, I remember watching a few Liverpool games back then and thinking, Jesus that lad is talented. That was before the hype started mind, he has massive potential. Our best window in about 4 years.
That left side is looking ridiculously sexy. That right side needs some work though, I hope we keep Nani and buy a proper RBShaw at left back, di Maria on the left of a midfield three, and Depay left of a front three.
Pace, trickery, and goals.

1.Does he need empire on the pitch like the wingers we have now?
2. The extra quality he brings that we don't have now?
3. Is he versatile?
4. Suitible to physicallity of EPL and style of United?
yes to all then WELCOME !!
otherwise welcome.
Memphis Depay - 176 - right footed - left winger (has only played on the right at times in his youth but was wasted there - not suitable as striker)
He prefers to be called Memphis since he's had no contact with his father and therefore doesn't want his his father's name Depay.
He's a winger who started out always trying to beat his man but he's now becoming a complete forward. He can now do everything (headers, left foot, link up play, crosses, freekicks) but needs to become more consistent. Has all the attributes to reach the top: drive, physicality, great shot, no real weakness in his game.
1. Yes, he's a direct winger who's involved in scoring goals - either himself or he's involved in the attack. He's got a fantastic shot.
2. Under van Gaal probably - but he hasn't been at PSV. This year he only played left forward in 433 but he has freedom to roam since PSV have a superb attacking leftback who's almost like a LW
4. Yes, the guy is built like a tank and has done against every level of opponent so far in his short carreer. He will fit in but might need some time, still only 21
So many players Liverpool were supposed to sign like Miki, Salah, Costa, Willian, Sanchez, Konoplyanka and now Depay. How do you keep that guy!?Woodward closes another deal ( who'd have thought that a year ago) whilst Ayre is sat with his cock in his hands

Aye, and he'll be gone before long.To be fair, I remember watching a few Liverpool games back then and thinking, Jesus that lad is talented. That was before the hype started mind, he has massive potential.
Excited for him at United? Do you think he'll be a hit?
I've got a great feeling about this.
Aye, as long a shis dad doesn't do a "Waterboy" (Adam Sandler) on us to feck up this signing! Therefore he shall be called Memphis from this moment on by myself.
Ah now, don't be so negativeAye, and he'll be gone before long.
