Yeah but only if we keep Lingard in the starting 11Lets Promote EVERYBODY!!!

We're surely not going to 'ditch' him. We'd get considerably less than half of our money back and there is a good player in there, he just needs a bit of patience and someone to make him feel important.
We're telling anybody who'll listen that we're willing to sell him on the cheap
He's he did. His shooting stats were ridiculous in terms of attempts. The thing is in Holland defenders gave him just enough space to get his shot away.
Di Maria was 27, and we got an acceptable fee for him (if you amortise his initial transfer fee, as is our board's policy (it seems)).That's what would've been written about Di Maria, a year ago!
He's 22.This would be ridiculous, if true. He's 21, ffs, in his first season in the PL, under a shit-stick of a manager, denied minutes because of a wonderkid like Martial.
We know what he's capable of on his day. We know the flair and talent are there. Wait for another season and more reasons, I'd say.
I feel a bit sorry for Memphis, despite his faults. This is because I suspect that LVG & Giggs have their favourites ...
I just came upon this video.
This was Ronaldo's first game for MUFC, in the league.
He is playing the same position as Memphis.
Ronaldo was 18 (Memphis is 22) and to my eyes, he showed more in this one game, than Memphis has all season.

I agree Memphis is an easy target but by all accounts Giggs took him under his wing. If Giggs has given up on him, it makes sense to sell.I feel a bit sorry for Memphis, despite his faults. This is because I suspect that LVG & Giggs have their favourites (and a vested interest in making sure they succeed or, at least, get the most playing-time), and because the press have declared war on Memphis for the terrible crimes of being flamboyant & owning flashy cars. Twats.

That is one way of looking at him. Especially if LVG and Giggs are both gone.Fair enough, but if one has doubts about Giggs' coaching abilities then it's easy to side with Memphis on this matter.

if he develops some discipline he could become our next Valencia on the right.
This is why it looks bleak for him IMO.The biggest issue with Memphis is that he can only play in one position and our best player is occupying that spot. He probably is also behind Lingard (who I don't rate high but is very useful in different positions).
Personally I don't see bright future for him with us. He would have to improve massively.
He just looks like a one trick pony to me and even that is ineffective.
In Holland did he always just cut in and whack it? Might work in the championship but most premiership defences will close him down sufficiently.
I wouldn't sell him but I'd still rather Adnan got his chance ahead of him.
Are there any reasons as to why Giggs is fed up? Is it because Memphis' attitude is crap or there is just not enough talent for Giggs to work on?Lots and lots of stories about how Giggs started mentoring him and coaching him individually and apparently, even he's gotten sick of him.
He shouldn't be sold, while it doesn't look good for him now its only been one season and he could still turn it around.
Where is he going to play though? He is only capable of playing one position and it belongs to our best player.
What would have happened if situations were swapped? Ronaldo played under the best manager, the best team, one of the best periods in Fergie's reign. Some players were like stars under Fergie. Ronaldo would suffer in this current United.
Harsh comparison imo.
