Am I the only one or does this signing feel different? Like it's going to have an impact, proper United signing! Young, hungry for success, talented, X-Factor.
Can't wait for muppet season now we got top 4!!:devil::devil:

Definitely feels like an exciting signing.

 In his tweet after their game today he is thanking the PSV fans and that he will always carry their support in his heart.
One fan replies: "You won't miss them as United fans are fantastic, they never booed Cleverley, Young, Valencia at OT"
I have to say I genuinly don't know if the guy was serious or sarcastic, could be both, really.

To be fair our match going fans are really something different. Falcao play like shit for all season and you still hear Falcao song even in away games.

When LVG breaks his usual routine of waiting until the end of the season to sign a player to prevent him from joining another CL club, you know he's going to be special.

I know and I can't remember them booing Young/Valencia, but they did with Cleverley I think (I know he got a lot of abuse, but not sure if it was from the OT crowd, too). But Nani and Giggs in the past definitely got booed at OT.

I think Fellaini was booed in that OT friendly last pre-season too? But overall our matchgoing fans are brilliant with the players.

Nope. This kid I feel will be special as long as he puts the work in. Happy to hear he admires Ronaldo. Ronnie can be all sorts of arrogant - but he's always been a great professional and real hard worker. If Memphis follows this, it will be real exciting...

It's just great to finally have a player who can shoot with power from distance again for once

Dutch people have very good english. Blind, RVP, Depay, Robben and errm Louis.

To be fair he also speaks Spanish and German. His German is probably worse than his English, but still comprehensible.

Depay is a good looking kid to be honest. Can attract a few extra thousand fans similar to how Neymar has.

Yep, has the looks, confidence and arrogance like Neymar or Ronaldo do. Hopefully can come close to their performances, too!

So it looks like we've have finally signed one of the hottest and in-demand properties in Europe in Memphis Depay - and when was the last time we've properly said that? We've seen players like Eden Hazard, Lucas Moura, Alexis Sanchez to name a few being snapped up by the European elites and in signing Depay this is a step in the right direction to go back to where we along. I've been watching this lad play for almost four years now when a 17 year old Memphis burst onto the Eredivisie stage as a 17 year old with a debut goal within 20 minutes. This kid has it all, pace, power, lethal long range shooting ability and can make defenders look silly with his trickery, and is a developing free-kick specialist. His mentality is almost Ronaldo-esque, he calls himself 'The Dream Chaser' - he wants to be the best. He has already become the best player in the Eredisive and has almost single handedly won PSV the league for the first time in 7 years and I know people will point out that it's 'only the Dutch league' but to do that as a 20/21 year old is remarkable. But in my opinion this is just the start for Memphis, as I believe LVG will nurture his burdening talent into one of the best attackers in the world (still have a feeling he may end up as a striker).

I recall Richardson and Rio being booed a few times too. It's such bullshit.

In the friendly against Valencia I was disgusted with some fans around me for booing Fellaini when he came on. One of them asked me what I thought of him and I replied 'I'd certainly never boo him.' They fecking cheered when he scored the winner.

It's great to have a player that can actually run properly fast with the ball at his feet again too :D

Last real speed ball control demon we had was ronaldo.

Scoring seven free kicks in one season is pretty amazing, can't really think of any players that regularly score more than two or three per season.

Hakan Calhanoglu. Only 21 but can score free kicks from anywhere.

Won't you look down on the squad
Yeah, we got a first class income
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

Then you walk in with Memphis
I was really hoping for a man like Bale
Walk in with Memphis
But would Bale really make me feel the way I feel?

edit: work in progress.

Could have sworn it was RVP speaking. To me they sound pretty much the same.

Interesting to hear how close he was to signing for PSG. Then a call from Van Gaal and it was done.

PSG fans must loathe us after crushing their winger muppet dreams of Di Maria and Memphis.

Definitely think that should be the song. It would sound unreal being sung around the stands!

How about something like:

Wingin' with Memphis
He's leaving your defenders on their knees
Had a meeting with Brendan
But said feck off to Pool and PSG

Wingin' with Memphis
He's beating your keepers with feckin' ease
Wingin' with Memphis
The Dreamchaser from PSV

Some might not like the nod to another club at the end, but it would be a good tribute to how classy they've been about the whole thing and he'd probably like it.
