Probably I should have said "too many" rather than "any" but I will stick to my point. Ronaldo in his younger days always try to the excessive step-overs and tricks while going nowhere. Depay in the highlight video didn't do too many of the excessive kind but still works.

Ronaldo at 18 over did things. Ronaldo at 21 was already tearing the league apart.

Depay is at the right age to move to a new league. It is great to see him scoring 21 league goals from the wing this season. Definitely the right decision from him to stay at psv for another year at least.From the limited videos or games that i watched him, depay is direct, quick and has a great right peg. Overcomplicating things should not be an issue for him. He'll have a try on goal as soon as he has half a yard over his marker.
 
:lol: Great, I just turn off City when they scored their second and turn PSV on just in time to see Depay scoring a freekick! Love it! :lol:

We have some decent free kick takers already, but Memphis' free kicks look great.
 
Dont worry, three or four weeks training with us and he will be hitting the wall and first man with his set pieces and crosses :D
 
Memphis Depay has played well so far, good use of the ball overall and not always trying to beat his man. Shown a couple of nice skills too. I have really liked his movement off the ball so far, making darting runs inside and out and playing a couple of nice one-twos.

A great free kick for the goal too, he's had about 3 free kicks so far today I think. One relatively straightforward save, then the goal and then a very good outstretched save from the keeper. Good corner deliveries, swinging in on his right foot too. That could allow Rooney to be in the box for set pieces.

He just scored another goal but it was disallowed.
 
By the way, there was another banner which read something like "Man Utd: Make sure you love Memphis like we do". Their fans (even the club as a whole really) seem like a nice bunch.

Thats intersting that, won't be long until a small section are on his back for being wasteful or something along those lines. For a club who loves wingers we give them shit an awful lot! :p

On here maybe but rarely fans at the game.
 
It's great to see the fans not turning in him.

Can we give PSV Januzaj and perriera on loan or something. They'd be a good club to get regular football they could help develop them.
 
What's that, 28 goals for the season in all comps now? I don't care what league you're in, brilliant for a winger who just turned 21. He's going to be class for us, you just know it.
 
Yeah, even if he is half as productive as he is right now, he will be a great contributor.
 
Searched Depay and this thread didn't come up due to its title.

Just scored in his final game for PSV in a 2-0 win.

 
When you can shoot like that it'll make teams wary of fouling us around the box again. When we had Ronaldo taking free kicks they knew to stand off and not make any clumbsy challenges, and Memphis will bring that to us again.

Always nice hearing a player that excited about joining us. Right attitude.
 
Think he will be someone to really build the team around once he's settled. Young, Dutch with a ton of talent and a goal scoring winger as well. Can't imagine a more exciting signing really! So excited for next season.
 
Am I the only one or does this signing feel different? Like it's going to have an impact, proper United signing! Young, hungry for success, talented, X-Factor.
Can't wait for muppet season now we got top 4!! :devil::devil::devil:
