Headline link on BBC's homepage "Man Utd 'forced' to sign Depay", talk about bloody misleading.

Di Maria to PSG ?

= V8.

Damn, how big is United in Holland? They all seem to be chuffed for him.
When Buttner was bought, which was a big surprise, his whole underpriveleged neighbourhood went out on the street to party like they won the CL, fireworks and everything. :)

But there's a bit of a drought in the Netherlands concerning young talented players, some decent players but not many extra special ones, especially the creative players. People starting to worry with Robben and Van Persie aging and other players not moving to the really big clubs but to more modest foreign clubs. So everybody is relieved one is really making it into the top. There is a lot of wishful thinking he's like the new Robben.

I don't believe he can become that good. But it's a good buy and a good choice of him. He knows he still got a lot to learn so he went to the best teacher.

And what a sweet revenge it is. Still pissed how PSG came in last minute to snatch him. LVG has served us justice
Lucas hasn't been particularly great for PSG though, has he?

Very exciting signing. Also very pleased that we're getting our transfer business underway early, which shows that we've already come to grips with what the squad is missing.

We have gone too damn long without a world class winger. Young has improved this year but IMO he isn't good enough for the long term and Valencia just flat out sucks these days. If he plays to expectation, our attack will look much more potent. All we need now is a good, injury-free RB who can run the overlaps with him.

Nope, wouldn't refer to him as a dodged bullet though. Think he could have been very good under Fergie but that might be wishful thinking on my part.

This season he has been one of the better wingers in the world when he's played. Finally living up to his hype and potential, but it is true that he has had a long period of getting used to his new club and top football. He's scored/assisted a similar amount to Cavani. Third highest assister in PSG in the league and third highest goalscorer too.

He's a bit unlucky that Cavani gets to play per default for being such a star player, but he's really performed in more or less every match I've seen him. Pastore has been damn near unbenchable though lately assisting 5 and scoring 2 from his last 5 games.

Moura is getting too much game time to leave though having played in 41 games. There is also a lot of talk from PSG fans to release Cavani(especially) and Zlatan.

I can't see Moura leave though. He's easily the top of my transfer targets if he were to become available though, his dribbling is already up there with the best in the world and he is extremely fast to boost. He suits most setups, unfortunately the 4-3-3 with a false-9 may be one of the worse ones for him.

The PSG wingers get very little ball-time and are expected to do the majority of their tactical role off the ball and Moura is best with the ball at his feet.

From what little i have seen he reminds me a bit of Griezmann.

He has been great for PSG this season. Was one of their best players, if not the best during the first half of the season. He got injured and others have improved.

I think he shirt number at PSV was 7. But it is a little a bit strange.
His shirt number at PSV is 7, so that explains it. Don't think it means anything.... unless his ambition is to steal it off of Di Maria eventually!:) Certainly got the swagger and arrogance to be our number 7 - provided of course that he fulfils his potential. Lots of work and not much play for young Memphis!

If we can get Di Maria back too his best then we could see a front three of:

Di Maria--Rooney--Depay

That is not too shabby.

What i like is that he feels like a Manchester United signing.

Falcao and Di Maria were exciting at the time, high priced South American stars, but didn't feel like United signings. Memphis is the sort I am very encouraged will flourish here

So apparently he's a Real Madrid fan....

Could this be another de Gea in 2-3 years time if he takes off...?
I think its different situation when dealing with Iberian (ron, de gea) players who will naturally want to return to what they perceive as home. With Depay we could just throw money at him and he would stay imo. Either way Madrid becoming interested in him a few years is a good problem really

That could happen. I don't know if he's a Real Madrid fan though, never read anything about it. Definately a Ronaldo fan.
