Memphis Depay | PSV confirm deal with Man Utd is agreed!

PSG, United and another club are interested. They want more than 20m Euros, which PSG offered last winter.
 
I'm quite certain he wouldn't chose PSG over United. In fact i think his move to United is done and dusted.
 
That seems positive. But it's obviously not as clear cut as people are suggesting. Why would it be if there are two clubs including filthy rich psg involved? But I'd assume playing under lvg and with blind and rvp would be a small factor too.

And psg are also interested which doesn't make it as inevitable as people make it out to be. I guess it depends on whether we want him and how much his relationship with lvg is a factor.

Its obvious we want him, LVG was already interested last summer but he told him to remain in the ED just one year, and other than that I think the choice between PSG and United isnt that hard for him, PSG is a nothing club in Holland whilst United is seen as one of the biggest in the worlds and the difference between PL and Ligue 1 is huge.

I hope that's the case. But until we get more concrete news I'm not going to assume this is a done deal.

Plus in the coaching team there is Louis, Albert, Marcel, Jos, Frans and Max. The setup for him to transition to a major European club is already in place here. Not to mention the need for a wing forward in our 4-3-3 system that suits him best. And being Dutch I would assume that he already has a grasp of the language too but I cannot find any evidence of him speaking English on youtube so far.
 
Yeah, it's not just LvG who has a connection with Depay. Albert Stuivenberg managed the Dutch under 17's back when Depay was in it, and they won the European Championship together.
 
i know ashley young has been good this season and we have yet to see the best of di maria but depay could be our hazard.

a brilliant goalscoring threat from the wing.
 
I don't usually think this when it comes to our signings, but I think it's certain Depay is coming here. I expect us to get him and quite possibly Clyne wrapped up very early in the summer.

Very off topic, but with the anti-mega thread policy, perhaps it's worth encouraging posters to put tweets in a 'Tweets Only' thread, but also in the relevant players thread for further discussion. I know the tweets only thread didn't work in the past, but something like this seems the only way to avoid another mega thread this summer.

I think the same too. With the tweets Depay has favourited, it has pointed towards him wanting to come here as a priority. We know we're interested and I doubt the fact that the asking price for us will be higher will have much impact.

Weird though that Liverpool had apparently been scouting him all season and not put in an offer.
 
Well we at least now know that we're definitely in for him now.
 
How high is his celing in the opinion of those who have watch him often? Can he reach say, Hazard's level in a couple of years?

They probably can't fathom losing to us on everything this season, on and off the pitch.

Hazard will be one of the best players in the world when Ronaldo/Messi step down.

Don't think it's a clear cut deal as some said.
 
We haven't put an offer yet in for him, so why expect that Liverpool would have. The only offers so far made for him were in previous transfer windows.
