We have to get this guy he just looks fantastic... i have a feeling this could be another Hazzard situation if we dont snap him up early. Yes we have Januzaj etc but this guy is electric and exactly the sort of player we should be looking to bring in, a sensational young, pacey, skillful, intelligent goalscoring winger.

.They loaned Guardado, Rekik and Isimat-Mirin this season (2 guaranteed starters) so they might want to if Wijnaldum leaves. I think they want to sign him though, but there's been no news since so I wouldn't know. I wouldn't mind a loan either, if Thijs comes up with any news I'll mention it in the appropriate thread! He will know that he is competing with mata, di Maria, young and Januzaj for the two wide positions but that's also the advantage of buying him over bale. He's a young player, hungry to make a name for himself and won't expect anything. Bale would expect to be undroppable and would create a problem considering we have mata and di Maria as well.

Going by recent transfer windows at least 1 one of them will turn out to be rumour bollocks.
I know its almost a done deal but do we really need Depay. We have Young and Mata playing so well now plus Di Maria and Januzaj on the bench. To add to that Lingard will come back from his loan as well and Valencia can always play as a winger if needed. This deal would have made sense if we were selling Young and/or Valencia but I don't think that is gonna happen now.
No news from Holland yet. It's been quiet since Thijs Sleger tweeted we've shown serious interest and that his surroundings all suggest he's coming. The director of PSV said 'topclubs from the world' have shown interest without naming any.
I have a (biased) theory though: van Gaal isn't going to leave deals late this year, he's working hard behind the scenes to get everything done before preseason I assume. Memphis can become champion with PSV this weekend with nothing left to play for afterwards (except maintaining his topscorer status), my heart is hoping the deal will be anounced after this weekend (to not anger the PSV fans, except me, too much).
I'm still 100% certain that when given the option he will choose for van Gaal, some doubt is starting to creep in wether he still wants him though with Mata doing so well on the RW when we've still got Lingard, Januzaj and Di Maria aswell

Depay has scored 19 goals I believe from out wide. Its not a massive leap to suggest the lad could even become a top striker or at least fill in if Rooney is injured.......just a thought if we are losing some strikers...
