Hopefully don murtough and don richard have a stop at Turin before they return from Barcelona.
One more hijack won't hurt.

Not sure why we have not moved to sign him. I am sure Ten Hag rates him and it seems he’ll leave Juventus. Is it the potential price tag? But we are anyway paying 50-60 million for martinez it seems.

Sane hasn't really set the world alight in Munich

Confused him with Mane?
oops, sorry yes: it's too early in the morning. Mind you, not sure Sane is exactly awful, but then watching United last season, pretty much everyone looks good!

Tolisso, Lucas Hernandez, Pavard, Sane?
Tolisso: yes
Hernandez: expensive due to the release clause but arguably Bayern best defender
Pavard: solid player that can start for Bayern at CB and RB. Definitely not a wrong purchase
Sané: underwhelming but there are glimpses and I still have hope

If that is what you found in regards to „bad transfers“ then I take that record and will compare it to other clubs.

Juve reportedly has a number of operations ongoing with former Raiola / now Pimenta’s agency (public: Pogba, De Ligt, Kean… privately who knows if more), so the exact numbers for the single operation are not giving the full picture from their perspective… e.g. Pogba’s agency commission was strangely low (only 2.3m euros), Kean should go back to PSG in a swap for Paredes or Kipkembe, then De Ligt wants out to Bayern and he will be accommodated accordingly. Am I happy as a fan about such strong ties with Pimenta? I don’t know, I am only sure I trust the pennypinching Arrivabene more than the profligate Paratici at this time, in our rebuilding position, so we will see.

Sane has been underwhelming since his ACL injury and Pavard has done nothing of note since that wonder strike in Russia.

These are not bad transfers because of the league you play in and where you can get away with average performances from certain departments. Pavard is a 35m euro flop and Sane cost Bayern another 60m euros.

If Pavard is a flop, I’d argue that most teams in the world consist of 50% flops. If Bayern sells him, they are not going to make a loss on him.

I am not calling Pavard great. But Bayern buying a starter for €35m is hardly a flop.
You just seem to have a very different threshold to what constitutes success/flop and that is fine I guess.

Would love it if we did a Martinez and snuck in last minute once a bid had been accepted instead of paying the Man Utd tax. Unlikely, but can’t see why we wouldn’t be interested if he was available. Especially with his links to ETH.

De ligt makes sense to all top teams. If we sold Jones(£5m), Bailly(£20m) and put in £45m we could sit at the table. He is a vocal leader with good ball playing skills and knows the Ajax way of playing.

Bayerns standards dropped a lot last year. I’m with you, I don’t understand this sunshine and roses narrative fans have about them. Their recent signings are contributing to their fall in standards imo.

Does feel if Ajax keep pushing up the price for Martinez, why not spend an extra £15-20m on this guy.

Pavard cost about €30m and he's playing more or less like a €30m player and is a functioning part of the (first) team, how is that a flop? They basically got what they paid for.

Labelling Pavard a flop is really weird. He did fine. About what you’d expect from him.

Just the English media jumping on a bandwagon I think / hope.
I think KWP is a decent player, but not an exceptional one.

Well, the de jong deal seems to be wrapped up so I'm gonna move my Muppetiering hopes over here, who knows what's gonna happen, the de jong deal seemed like a long shot a while ago as well so a man can dream!

He has a reputation he doesn't deserve. Was over hyped back at Ajax, went to Juventus and has been nothing special to go with series of clumsy errors that he would be seen as a joke if he was playing here. Surprised his name is still being mentioned.

In what way "wrapped up"? I don't see any evidence of that and there's been no announcement by the club. I agree it looks a bit brighter with Raphinha looking to be heading for Spin, but have I missed something?

Just conjecture, I think it's pretty much banged on to happen considering that they already seem to have let loose their purse.

De Ligt? Who included him in team of the season ahead of Bremer and the Milan lads?
You are correct, I believe it was Bremer (who is fantastic!) and Tomori. Then it was something like "the team of the first half-season" or something like it.
I am not saying that de Ligt had a world class season. But he hasn't been as bad as some posters (who have probably only seen his handball collection on youtube) make him out to be.

Mental money for someone who has been bang average at best. In the italian league.

He is living off some magical past reputation.
Why are people saying he's been bang average. James Horncastle said on the TIFO Italian team of the year that he's been a monster in defence for Juve bar the odd error which every defender on the planet is capable of in such press-focussed era.

Was lukaku the player of the year though?

Well if Juve want Euros and Bayern insist on Pounds, then it's probably impossible.
