Matthijs De Ligt

With many of the qualified replacements finding a club so fast, and with Bayern not submitting a proper offer, it is increasingly probable De Ligt stays… at least until January, which will be a Summer-like transfer window this year.

I have heard that Bayern are ¥6959000000 off with their valuation.

This one isn’t happening.

Why are they quoting one price in Euros and the other in Pounds? Is it to give the impression they're even further apart? :wenger:

Probably related to this:

Offer them 50m pounds and Lindelof.
Or even Varane. Obviously he has a big reputation, so Juve would probably be interested and it would require less money I'd presume. I would be very excited to see De Ligt in PL. Especially back with EtH. De Ligt pairing with Martinez and FdJ ahead of defense, you would be great in possession and almost impossible to put pressure on it. De Ligt would also provide height and in a pair with Martinez that would be another pro. United should really try to get him. I'd have taken him ahead of Martinez myself.

Don’t Bayern want Maguire? Sure he’s available?

I didn't know that Bayern fans are transfer muppets as well.
Oh, definitely! I believe it all goes back to the Javi Martinez saga when they were tracking planes and he was caught breaking into Bilbao‘s training grounds to get his football boots before flying to Munich.

Buying these young superstars is becoming pointless. PSG had to pay Mbappe a Kings ransom to keep him. Juventus can't afford the same so they will lose de ligt, all they have done is trained him for his next team and will never get his best years. Haaland has left dortmund and wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Madrid in a few.

Bayern a model example of a club to follow in regards to transfers.
Isn’t their usual strategy to just Hoover up all the best talents from the Bundesliga, thus ensuring no one else even has a chance of competing with them?

And then every once in a while they go out and spend mega money on a player. Not exactly rocket science or impressive. In fact, it’s extremely boring.

Yes, nice :D

If someone had told me a few months ago that we could sign Mané and de Ligt I would've told him to go and play Football Manager.

I really rate Lucas Hernandez, Upamecano has huge potential, but I feel they both need a leader next to them, so this is a great transfer for us I think.

Neuer in goal, back 3 of Lucas, Upa and de Ligt, Davies and Coman as wingbacks, Kimmich and Goretzka/Gravenberch in the center and Müller/Musiala, Gnabry/Sané, Mané, let's go :)

Another top club finishing their "saga" within a week or two! Meanwhile at Manchester United...

Looks like everyone's in for another exciting Bundesliga title race.

55m plus 10m euro for Martinez to us. 75m euro for de Ligt to them. I would have preferred paying the higher price for a better prospect in de Ligt. Hopefully, in a few seasons, we would be in a position to attract the likes of him and be able to compete against Bayern and etc.

More than €80m.

Besides, he'd never join us over Bayern
