Especially back with EtH. De Ligt pairing with Martinez and FdJ ahead of defense, you would be great in possession and almost impossible to put pressure on it. De Ligt would also provide height and in a pair with Martinez that would be another pro. United should really try to get him. I'd have taken him ahead of Martinez myself.

Only PSG can come close to what they offer though. A never ending run of league titles and domestic success, with a good chance at the CL. It's hard to really copy the Bayern model.

I really rate Lucas Hernandez, Upamecano has huge potential, but I feel they both need a leader next to them, so this is a great transfer for us I think.

55m plus 10m euro for Martinez to us. 75m euro for de Ligt to them. I would have preferred paying the higher price for a better prospect in de Ligt. Hopefully, in a few seasons, we would be in a position to attract the likes of him and be able to compete against Bayern and etc.
