Raiola pretty much picks where his players go from what I've been heard and it's always about the money.

Deligt have his advisers too apart from riola. Fingers crossed lets see what eventually happens.

Thanks.

So this means we can offer him 25-30% less than PSG.
I dont know the exact tax specifics of France so I will not state percentages, but as a principle yes. Its quite more expensive for a French club to pay their players than for the PL-clubs relative what the players pocket. And its even more expensive in Sweden, so we will suck on a club-level forever. Ltb OT....

That tax doesn't exist.
I think he meant more of the total tax pressure in France compared to the UK. Employer/employee. 75 percent is probably too much though.
The interesting figure is I guess how much a player would pocket himself after income tax compared to the total cost for the employer. In Sweden this would be close to 75 percent. EDIT I mean that 25 percent would be left for the player.

In France the employer contribution is around 40%, so for example a player at 100k per week costs 140k per week.

Here is Barca coming out to cry wolf about how De Ligt is not going to join them. Raiola-coaster is still going strong, at least for another 2 weeks I feel.

That said, he does have a point. UEFA and FIFA are just doing nothing with all that financial "backing" that PSG have. It's like watching the villain of a movie getting away with murder in broad daylight.

No, the article that he posted is about a particular tax at 75% proposed by Hollande in 2012.

Yeah, thats the same as in Sweden more or less.
But then the player pays income tax as well. Say thats equivalent to 50 percent or so in France? I dont know but thats what the Mbappe figures led me to believe.
Then the player pockets 50k after tax. Thats basically 65 percent "tax pressure" in total.
In the UK the highest progressive tax rate is 45 percent and thats that. No pay roll tax.
So basically an French club has to pay quite a bit more for the player to pocket the same amount.
Im not signing off on these numbers btw, just playing around. But I think its important to know that you dont always compare the same numbers when you read tabloids from different countries. In Spain they almost only report the net salary for the player for example.

The income tax is at 45% for that tier, that's the part the player will pay from the gross. While the company/club will pay 42%.

Ligue 1 is a misstep. Because it is a weak league, only flashy players like forwards can maintain their rep despite playing there. A defender's work could well go under the radar and De Ligt's stock could drop. Furthermore, he will probably have only a handful of CL games where he will have to showcase his worth and that could lead to lapses.

Always knew Raiola was using us and he was never coming to United, but he could have either stayed at Ajax or joined Barca to compete for his place.

De Ligt can showcase plenty with PSG. He'll be able to showcase his offensive skills over his defending but that is what seperates him. And with us he may not be able to play CL depending on our league performances. PSG definately presents the lower risk.

The curious thing about Raiola meeting PSG about the transfer of De Ligt that is being completely ignored by all, is that Raiola is banned as an agent! I don't see a damn thing reported about a proxy. Just Mino in Paris = De Ligt to PSG.

Thanks. I was not far off then. It would be interesting to have a Spanish Caftard to do the same calculation with the same base salary in Spain. Way OT, I know, but still.

The punishment has been suspended following an appeal.

I dont think he is that under the whip. More likely that PSG outbid Barcelona towards Ajax with such an amount that Ajax only let him negotiate with PSG (And maybe us, which is sad in its own way).
Uh? No. Ajax have made it clear the player will get to decide where he goes. They'll accept anything above €70m

The hold up is that barcelona aren't offering enough to De Ligt, not Ajax

I dont buy that. It doesnt make sense. If the offers are similar, sure. But if PSG offered 100m plus EURO, and Barca just 70m? No fecking way. Its not like he has a release clause.

I did see something the other day about how his ban has been suspended so presumably he is free to act now. The muppet in me still says he just fancies the local cuisine and this is nothing to do with de Ligt even though my common sense says it is all over and Qatar United have won this one.

No, his appeal at CAS was successful in the way that for the moment he is no longer banned until the appeal will be handled in July.

He kind of lives in France the local cuisine shouldn't be special for him, hopefully there is no monegasque on the forum.

Ah well that's that then.

That's what Ajax said. Whether they keep their word or not is another story. The issue here is that barcelona are offering him 3-4m after tax and he wants more than that

If he chooses PSG over Barca, regardless of us, it's a pretty good sign he isn't worthy of the club's interest to begin with.

Bad enough having Raiola as your agent, but if you seriously choose the wasteland league and the flashy oil money over Barca, something is seriously off with your footballing radar.

Tbf I dont think Ajax has made an official statement on the matter. And I really dont think its a contractual obligation.
And for me its more likely that they have spread the word on what transfer fee they would be likely to accept. In case of a bidding war, thats something else. I dont think Ajax are much for throwing away money for free especially for showing respect or whatever to a 19 year old player that they brought up. I would be fecking mad as an Ajax-supporter if they did not try to get top dollar.
But nevermind, its all speculation. That part about the wages as well.
What I do think is that Barcelona is in a real jam. They spent a lot on De Jong and have not been able to sell anybody from Coutinho, Dembele or Rakitic and the other ones they want and need to get rid of. Think they are pretty tied up for now on the market.

You forgot that Ajax has an empirical history doing exactly that in order to have and get these talents in the first place. De Ligt stayed earlier because of it.

After all that's been said about him said I just can't see this at all, plus I thought PSG were struggling with FFP.

Anyway whatever I'd be quite pleased if he doesn't go to Barca, their arrogance knows no bounds.

First Neymar then De Ligt. Barca getting shafted by PSG on a regular basis now, even tried to get De Jong. Its a matter of time really before PSG are regular CL winners. FFP ought to be regulatef but sadly the corrupt officials dont give a flying feck.

The player still has to agree to sign though. Ajax have said they’d looking for £70m and as long as clubs meet that De Ligt can pick where he goes.
