Mathys Tel

Is he a bigger talent than what we have? Why? Does he solve our current ST problem right away?

I dont think we are after him and that it is agents using us again.

Mane at 30 were better than Rashford at 27..
Also, some news said Rashford rejected Saudi Club's offer which can offer a large amount of transfer fee

If I’m Dwaine Maynard, I would probably argue Mane played for the second best team in England which was ran and managed well.

Marcus plays for an absolute shite show of a club where most players fail but when they are most successful it’s because Rashford is playing well and the team are set up to support him.

I’d argue Mane would not of outperformed Rashford in the same circumstances.

Just if I was building a case for Rashford as much as I want him gone you can’t argue he’s not a top player.

On the basis of 20min YouTube compilation, my take is:
- Seems to have a decent shot on him
- Awkward on the ball, seems to be taking a touch only to chase the ball, but yet has some technique too
- Lightweight, seems to be shrugged off the ball easy
- Good workrate
- Decent crossing

A loan with option could be a decent shout to replace Antony, but I feel as it wasn't difficult to see why his minutes were limited with Bayern (albeit they do have a lot better players than we do).

He performed well enough to play for Liverpool.

Im not so sure. He just didn’t bother at all and his body was gone. One of the worst transfers we ever did.
that’s not the point. The argument was that Mane was worth £35 million. He didn’t perform granted but his record for Liverpool was in a different league to Rashford for us.

You can make the argument, but it doesn't mean anyone will take you seriously

Yeah because playing for Manchester United is for everybody right?

My point being you have two top quality players. One has benefited from being at a better structured club. What was Rashford suppose to do to prove your point? Make a transfer for Liverpool or Manchester City?

I’m sure that would have went down well.

That’s true.
And we got lucky that he had such a huge name and were able to recoup most of the fee. But damn, he was bad. But enough about about this overpaid diva without any ambition or respect for the club he plays for and back to Rashford.

I think he has the talent to yes but I wouldn’t classify him as him as one currently. He’s more of striker/inside forward

Yup the second #10 next to Bruno is that role I think? Basically what we want is a Rashford / Garnacho type (i.e., can really get in behind and stretch the defence) but with much better ability to receive the ball between the lines and turn.

I don’t see the sense in selling Garnacho for a player that would be a bit of a project. To me the whole point in selling him is buying someone a bit better suited and mature.

we may sign another young attacking player without great track record again. haven't our board and our fans learnt enough lessons from hojlund, zirkzee, antony etc?

I feel our scouting team and new structure is actually doing shrewd business at this point.

Lets just hope we can flog off Casemiro and Rashford soon
