Woody. Do your thing (properly)
Insane. Insande for Chelsea to let him go and insane for us, City and every other top club who doesn't buy him.
Chelsea will probably have the same approach as us with Rooney. Not letting him go to a Premier League rival.
Mourinho though, what an absolute idiot if he lets him go.
If he goes to some other club and we aren't even placing a bid I think my mild befuddlement about our transfer business in this summer will turn into a full blown depression and I will end up on the muppet suicide watch list. Don't do this to me Woody and Moyes, why are you so cruel.
What exactly could Mourinho have against Mata personally? He's never played under him.
After refusing to sell Rooney for the entire summer, you think they would accept a final day bid from us?
Yeah I know it's madness. I mean hell forbid we traded an unsatisfied striker/medicore midfielder against a world class midfielder that we could actually need. But I guess that deal would have made too much sense for both sides to happen or Moyes was just scared of selling Rooney to one of our biggest rivals even if he got Mata in return.
No fecking chance whatsoever, maybe shouldve done the Rooney for him and cash, let our young strikers get some game time and put the rest of the money into the fellaini deal. Negative spend summer, improve our squad and lower the quality of Chelsea's.After refusing to sell Rooney for the entire summer, you think they would accept a final day bid from us?
Its not personal. He just wants a pacy attack and doesnt feel Mata cuts it in that regard. Retarded but not personal.

Might be personal though if he is friends with Ramos and Casillas I wouldn't put it past Mourinho to be paranoid enough to suspect him of working against him like his two Spanish pals did but of course that's just a very wild guess and what you said is probably more likely even though you never know with Mou.
We're better off not giving Rooney to Chelsea, especially if they sell Mata to somewhere outside the Premier League.
Oscar is not pacey. De Bruyne is not pacey.

Well of course selling them Rooney if Mata doesn't come in return is stupid but that's not what I was saying. I was just saying that a trade would have made sense, we would have gotten a creative midfielder and they would have gotten their number one striker. Now we have a sulking Rooney and Mata might end up in France. Next summer then we will have the same problems with Rooney and the fact that he is entering the last year of his contract which means we either sell him for a fairly low price or keep him until the end of his contract, risk him being even more angry and confused and get no money at all for him.
This is what Indykaila just said on twitter....
Are you Indykaila?
When do you suppose they had this falling out then? It was reported very early in the summer that he wasn't viewed as a guaranteed first 11 player and Mourinho was even prepared to listen to offers to raise transfer funds.Mata's not all that different to Ozil or Sneijder who Mourinho had no problem with so I doubt it's tactical. Must be personal.
United should make a cheeky ~25M bid.

No, I understand and disagree.
Selling Rooney to Chelsea would have meant solving the biggest problem of one of our main rivals. That's not good. If we can't convince him to change his mind and sign a new contract - well, there's still a chance that next year we can sell him somewhere else, somewhere outside the Premier League. In the meantime, he seemed motivated enough against Chelsea.
So if Chelsea don't want Mata anyway and want rid of him then we should not help them by also solving their biggest problem in the process. I'd love Mata here but if they won't have neither Mata nor Rooney that's great for us. Better than us signing Mata and Chelsea getting Rooney.
Rumours that Liverpool are after him. That seems quite insane.

If we manage to get Mata and Herrera it would be really a window worth waiting. The afro chap would be a bonus as well.
